Oh, so if you're walking across a street when you have right-of-way, and you get hit by a negligent driver, it's you're fault because you didn't know them personally? The proximate cause of the sexual assault wasn't her drinking, nor her not knowing the people around her; it was the person who decided to commit rape. Without that intervening act she would have gone home rape-free; culpability is on the rapist, not her. Yes, we can all take steps to protect ourselves from assholes, but that doesn't diminish their responsibility for their conduct, nor transfer liability to the victim.
