The accent for most of the midwest is nothing like Minnesota and difficult to distinguish from the west, outside of various local word choices. A bunch of maps on GIS label it as the Midland accent.

This was an awesome rabbit hole.

I still can't wrap my head around the distinction between West and Midland. Your site says its sometime about the beginning of too vs toe, but this makes zero sense to me. Anyone have a more useful example? How is Utah accent different from West Coast accent?

Guess whoever made that doesnt realize the current slate of OW2 characters designs arent going to be inspiring anything. And to think OW originally had a joke about the character with the most risque design being literal fap material in game.
