I'm going to presume it's same principals as airplane travel. Once you're in the air, there's pretty much nothing that you can interact with except weather and air pockets. Collisions between planes are almost non existent. The most dangerous aspects of flight are take off and landing: if you're going to have an accident, chances are its during those procedures. My uncle died in Mexico City when his plane landed on an incorrect runway in 1979.
