Anyone actually used the G9 for office work in addition to gaming? Like the idea of splitting the screens, but wondering if I’d break my neck looking around all day.
It's probably close to 2 years old at this point and been chasing some funky issues, think some of my ram is actually gone faulty. Or just Tarkov being acunt and randomly does poorly on otherwise good machines. I did hope to get one of the new gen cards though next year to pair it with. Would wait for monitor but going crazy with just 1 after the other ancient dell I had literally popped and caught fire.I thought you had a beast machine?
this monitor is amazing
So I just setup the Alienware 34wd20dw monitor....
Holy fucking tits batman. Moved from 2560x1080 60hz to this 3440x1440 120hz g-sync ips panel. Fucking loving it. This might bring me to finally play my massive backlog of games.
I don’t know I but haven’t seen that brand in anyone’s top 5 ever outside budget (not a deal breaker but double check on it)Hmmm thoughts? Looks like its just released so no reviews on it.

I'm in the exact same situation, and want to get a cheap 27" , 1440p, 75hz at least, and use it vertically next to my 34" ultra-wide.I am looking for a second monitor to pair with my AW3420DW
Its 34inch ultra wide 3440 x 1440 @ 120hz.
I want a second minor beside it and think a 27inch will flow the best due to similar sizes and styles and both white like my AW34
The ones i am looking at are Dell on sale.
S2721DS 2560 x 1440 75hz for $299
or
S2721Q 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz for $359
I am looking for any advice on how it may feel having the different quality monitor besides my current Gaming ultrawide.
Will the full 4k @ 60hz look odd besides my 3440x1440 and should i stick to the 1440 for continuity?
am i going to get annoyed at the refresh rate difference?
Current 2nd monitor is 1080p 60hz. 10 year old dell.
Thanks for your help.

The AW3420DW is $839.99 now on the Dell member site. Crazy price. I just scooped the 49” G9 for $950 after cash back / gov’t rate. Really solid prices, now just give me my fucking 3080I'm in the exact same situation, and want to get a cheap 27" , 1440p, 75hz at least, and use it vertically next to my 34" ultra-wide.
I was looking for another monitor and made some research and what I gathered is that HDR 400 is by and large no different than no HDR at all. The screens that have both 4k and a HDR that actually makes a difference are pretty damn expensive for what I have seen. In the end, I went for the "wait & see" route and bought a cheap gaming monitor and will make a substantial upgrade when I actually have a 4k / HDR source...At $329? Sure. 32", 165hz, 1440p, and HDR 400... that's not great, but whatever. Brightness on an LG OLED TV is like 1000? something like that.

Very nice!! I got mine in today as well, and I realized the LG I got doesn't go vertical. I also forgot that I have my ultra-wide on risers, so I need to get something to prop this one up on to make it the same height.
Curious, where do you sit in relation to your screens? Is your nose right on the middle point between the 2 screens? Basically at the seam? Or do you sit off to the side and turn your head to look at the 27"?
