There's a difference--this is rigging to push an agenda while also snubbing anything that doesn't toe the line. 12 of the 16 on that jury have practically nothing to do with gaming and/or are sites no gamer has ever heard of. Several of them are the reason why people make jokes about "game journalist difficulty" being a setting in modern games. And they are all leftist rags who push their politics and degeneracy above all else.

They were always shit. I've never looked at who their official voters were before. what was it in previous years?
but, yeah, wtf? kindof funny, la times, venture beat, npr, pride, variety? what the fuck?

Nominees for most categories of The Game Awards are chosen by an international jury of over 100 global media and influencer outlets, selected for their history of critical video game evaluation.

I'm getting a dead link on the hyperlink to the jury. not sure if its due to overload, or if the page needs a sign in?

grummz is often full of shit. so, while those bs sites may be on the jury. note, that they might be 5 out of 100+ jurers. idk. cant see for sure.

The rest are just as bad. That's a chunk of 16 from the US jury list, but if you look at the rest it's sites like Digital Trends, Easy Allies, Entertainment Weekly, Game Informer (defunct now), Gameranx, Gamertag Radio (who?), Gamespot, Giant Bomb, and Wired. Didn't bother checking other regions but I'm sure it's a bunch of shit like Eurogamer, UK tabloids that for some reason publish game reviews, etc. Basically the same list of assholes I used to filter out on OpenCritic before it became just another shill site like Metacritic.
