Nominees for most categories of The Game Awards are chosen by an international jury of over 100 global media and influencer outlets, selected for their history of critical video game evaluation.
I remember playing something similar at foxwood casino in the 90s but was a submarine game. Had 5 people in 1 "sub" and you done tasks fighting etc.Figured this thread was as good as any…
I am trying to find an old arcade game I remember.
It was an on-rails space shooter - 3d - had voice and I seem to remember acted cut scenes intro - but the kicker was- it was a huge room game, with 4 - 6 seats for gunners and was like 2-3$ a play.
I played it back in the 90s at WdW contemporary resort during a youth trip camping - when the contemporary had a huge arcade.
Just wondering if anyone remembers it / name etc.. google is failing me
Most of the reveals are junk indie games about finding yourself and garbage like that. The big reveals seem to be E3 and Sony/Microsoft stuff.
The game awards are for weird hipster jerkoff devs, just like the Oscars largely are. It's back-patting moreso than actual celebration by the majority of the people who play games regularly.
Because the Internet is selling me on woke as the thing to be BIG MAD about. And if I'm going to be on the Internet, I want to be OUTRAGED!Why do we care at all about the game awards?

I think it's fine for that as a platform where people can show off their games. You can ignore the actual awards, like you could before when it was only "game journalists" giving them, cause they were just as worthless back then. And making the awards votes from random players only would absolutely not be any better either, as it'd just be popularity contests which in no way reflect the quality of the games. It's all just pointless, unless you're trying to please your shareholders you really shouldn't care about awards for games(or movies or music).Issue is there is no more E3, so the Game awards have been the most recent venue that showed up-coming games,(although Geoff seems to suck Kojimas dick any time he can)
Sony/MS venues are now trying to be monthly but ehh.. everything I've seen coming out of those have just been *shrug*.
There's a difference--this is rigging to push an agenda while also snubbing anything that doesn't toe the line.
