No it's not. Taking the law in to your own hands is vigilantism. There's all manner of case law and actual law regarding what you are allowed to do and not do. If a shoplifter is walking out of Sam's with a cart of booze and I detain them I'm not a vigilante. I'm not operating outside the law.

What Kile did in defending those business was vigilante work, what zimzam did patrolling his neighborhood was vigilante work.
Vigilante work is doing the work of the police without being the police in other words, but with the element of premeditation.

For example, if you are walking randomly in a place and you decide to stop a crime in front of you and decide to stop, you are not being a vigilant, you are just reacting to it.

But if you to a specific place where you know crimes are being committed and you preform the exact same action, NOW you are being a vigilante. Because you went there with a very specific intent

You are hung up in that if the shooting constituted vigilante action(which I never said), and you are stuck on that.

What constitutes vigilante action is going there, and protect the businesses, putting out fires, preventing people from crating more fires. all those action that are separate from teh shooting itself ARE vigilante actions

How could Kyle know crimes were going to be committed, the BLM protests were mostly peaceful according to our papers of record.

The state is not there to convict innocent people. This is a retarded statement.
???
What? The state does NOT care if people are innocent or not. That is for a jury to decide. You don't want the state deciding who is innocent or not.

Also a judge has to sign off on the charges before a trial is even started. Maybe Cad can correct me on this but the judge had to agree there was enough evidence to take to a trial.

Vigilante is a person who takes it upon himself protecting his own community. Kyle was a Vigilante that night, calling him that is not slander.
Incorrect, as the media and the law makers are now saying, if regular people don't do anything to stop crimes in progress (where police have no such requirement), say like a woman being raped on a train, then bystanders should be charged for not helping. Kyle wasn't a vigilante, he was patrolling to make sure no women were being raped on public transportation like good citizens should. I enhanced a single frame from the video that night, zoomed in 10000x, you can see his attackers penis pixel adjacent to a woman pixel, Kyle stopped a rape in progress, he's a hero.

/SimpsonsLionelHutts Case closed.

P.S. fuck off disingenuous commie faggot.

So then everyone involved was a vigilante under your definition, right?

Can we please as a society stop enabling this game?

Making shit up and trying to use an already taken label may be an effective tactic for idiots who cant actually argue, but ONLY IF you grant them permission to do it.
