Well, you're an idiot on this. The case is about the charges against Kyle. Your arguments would only apply to bringing charges against the idiots who attacked him. Regardless of what they thought they were doing, they were attacking him, which gives him a 100% right to defend himself. The attacks were recorded from multiple angles, and they all show a group assaulting Kyle.

1. If you don't feel safe going somewhere without a firearm don't go there
2. You will pay for every bullet you fire
3. Even if you're right your life is still probably fucked

To be fair to Chris, I'm the one who brought up citizen's arrest. But I brought it up as a hypothetical where even if you used the best possible circumstances to explain why those two were going after Kyle, they were still unjustified and he was still within his rights to shoot them.

Doa #1 may have had a heavy chain. He certainly did earlier in the night.
Survivor apparently wanted to shoot Kyle but realized he shouldnt, then Kyle shot skateboard and survivor did then try to make a move on Kyle.
