Its laughable to think someone would argue he was there as a medic that night... carrying a tear gas canister.

sitch and adam show went over it yesterday. and it seems the defense, and judge etc, all were totally misreading the statute.
going over silly stuff about it not listing 17 year olds, etc.. totally misunderstanding it. theorizing it was poorly written or even had typos...
The law in plain english is, its illegal to for someone under the age of 18 to carry a dangerous weapon, such as knives, guns, bows, pipes, chains, etc, with the exception of long rifles, and long shotguns. and a number of other exceptions, with supervision, etc.

Kyle is factually and indisputably guilty of violating 948.60 Possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18. The judge seems pretty sympathetic and given how much discretion Kyle exercised during the incident, he will likely only receive a fine.
Whoever loaned him the weapon is theoretically looking at a Class H felony, although you'd think he'd already be charged.
