Depends. Im pretty sure Kyle didnt hit bicep boys arm in the center but off to one side. Id imagine point blank center arm would have resulted in complete loss of it.

Even at 10 ft, that's nearly 10x the spread. 5.56 mm versus 5.34 cm. Remember we're talking about how if it had been a shotgun he might have got the 3rd guy too. But I think St. Kyle was better with the rifle and the aimhack he was using. I'm not convinced a shotgun would have done more damage than vaporizing an arm.

I think it's safe to say had that been a 12 gauge with buckshot and not a rifle, he would have lost that arm.
It's also possible that he would have been out of ammo and not been able to shoot at all if he had a standard 5+1 semi-auto shotgun.

They forgot to ask him on what part of his EMT training does it teaches EMTs to ignore who ever is dying while people are screaming for a medic, and to run away from that on the opposite direction and withdraw their firearm, and chase/run after someone else, on which part of the EMT manual was that taught.
