So whoever fucking said they were glad Sansa arrived before Jon left, a thousand times yes. When it happened, I let out a rush of air I didnt know I'd been holding and went, "Thank fucking god."
As has been mentioned, Tormund eyeing up Brienne was money.
I was really happy with the dany scene too; sort of been waiting for some crazy movement, but I did not expect her to just slaughter all the Khals.
Also, having just caught up, you cannot excuse away the Baelish shit with Sansa. He's not like that in the book; they haven't built him up to be infallible, but he never overplays his hand. He fucked up in a way that broke character. I mean, just on the surface, he at least makes things happen in a way that can't be directly pinpointed. Even if it was a smart idea to play Bolton against Cersei, (which it wasn't, since the Boltons have little claim and Cersei has had her power dwindled, so any of her proclamations can be easily overturned once someone takes her out of power, WHICH I ASSUME IS THE POINT.) he gives Sansa to the Boltons in front of a ton of witnesses; he's directly connected to that shit. At the very least, Petyr would have had someone else tied to her so he could have probable deniability. (I'm just rereading book 2 now, but I don't remember that scene where he confronts Cersei actually happening in the book) In reality though, it's probably necessary, since they removed a bunch of the backstory for how they would unite the Vale behind Sansa, and gives us the chance to really drive home that Petyr is def not a good dude.
I was a fan of it though, all around. The exaggerated threats to the wildlings worked out well, also, and ensured that Jon has a god damn army.
