Especially since she didn't kill even a single person. It would have been way better if she killed a bunch of people she didn't get to know/give a shit about before she met "the one who changed her mind". Instead she meets her right away... really lame. She went into the faceless thinking she'd be able to exact her revenge. She eventually learned what she'd be doing is actually killing the innocent. In her fit of initial rage she either didn't consider that aspect of the job or thought she could learn to live with it if the ends justified the means. But she learned she's not a heartless killer. Granted if that is the only payoff for multiple seasons of character progression thats pretty gay.
I just assumed he took it for the white walker killing Valyrian steelReddit says that Samwell stole the sword so that he returns to the North. His father is honor bound to retrieve it. Thus getting Southern forces to the Wall where they will be needed. Pretty interesting idea.
But it doesn't make much sense if Sam still goes to Oldtown to become a Maester. Let us hope for a Maester training montage.
This kind of speaks to the show overall, and more of an indictment on GRMM imo. Obviously the show and the books have diverged but a lot of the story elements concerning character progression are questionable or downright meaningless. Ok so Colhands not Benjen....then what the fuck was the point of Benjen being introduced as a character at all? That another Stark died? I think D&D's decision to make him Coldhands was smart, it consolidates but also lends a bit more weight to Benjens disappearance. Think about it, a character the show introduced in SEASON ONE, returns at an opportune time when there was basically no other way to save Bran and Meera at that point. Again, its convenient, but at least it makes some kind of sense from a narrative standpoint. She went into the faceless thinking she'd be able to exact her revenge. In order to do it your way she'd need to become a full fledged faceless. Which her not becoming one may be important to the storyline. I think she just overestimated her heartlessness from her little list she recited and thought she could transfer those emotions onto anyone. But in reality she's more empathetic than she may think.Especially since she didn't kill even a single person. Dude are you serious? They showed great tits glaring at her, reciting her lines, looking guilty as fuck when Arya knocked the poison out of her hands. It's her, and the faceless men agreed to whatever price she could pay because they're a crazy death cult that gives no fucks.I'm also not 100% sure it was her rival with the great tits trying to take her out. I'm still confused how she's come up with payment of any sorts. Possibly we'll learn that the actress is actually like a child molester or something.
This seems the most probable.I suppose Margaery could be playing the High Sparrow to get out of the walk of atonement, since she presumably knew nothing about the plan to rescue her and Loras. By the time she saw the soldiers it was too late for her to do anything other than keep playing along. As the queen, Margaery benefits from thing staying stable, so she wouldn't have any reason to set Tommen up for a fall. Her getting out of the walk is the only answer to that shit that makes any sense to me. Suddenly going from quiet defiance to brainwashed compliance would be unbearably stupid.
Benjen being Coldhands is probably going to happen in the book as well. Remember, in the book Coldhands never reveals his face, so it's likely that GRRM did that on purpose so that Coldhands could eventually turn out to be Benjen down the road. The way that Coldhands was introduced is different in the show than in the book (Coldhands shows up to help Sam get back to the wall, and helps Bran get to the Three Eyed Raven), but it also gives an opportunity to bring in more characters from the book into the show, even if the exact timelines don't match up (could we see Lady Stoneheart? Possibly!). Again, my only concern is that they still have a shit ton of plots going on here, and if HBO is to be believed, we have exactly 20 episodes left of the show. Not a lot of time to get all this finished. This kind of speaks to the show overall, and more of an indictment on GRMM imo. Also, Coldhands/Benjen was awesome with that Darksiders esque weaponry he was rocking. I didnt really hear what he was saying but what did he say happened to him? He was killed with dragonglass and turned into .....a good white walker? lol? I must of missed something when he was talking to Bran.
Maybe, though if she had killed the actress would that have just made her a full fledged faceless? How many people do you need to kill before your training is considered over? The waif is still a trainee right? In order to do it your way she'd need to become a full fledged faceless. Which her not becoming one may be important to the storyline. The Waif has been in the house of black and white for damn near 30 years, I doubt she's a trainee. The waif is still a trainee right?
