After pondering a bit, I think Cleganebowl is confirmed NOT happening, at least not this season. Why the hell would the Hound even go to King's Landing at this point? If I had to guess I'd say he's under a death sentence for deserting the Kingsguard.
i watched the promo for next week and it looks like you're right, they dont seem to be waiting for sandor to get to KL before they start things up with cersei.

I'm pretty sure the Waif not doing as instructed will be what saves her.
This is what I was thinking. Waif was instructed to make Arya's death quick/painless and instead gives her a slow gut-stab death. JH decides the Waif needs to go and heals Arya (which clearly he could do).

Maybe the only reason Jaquen took her in to begin with was to test the waif. And he's all like, "I'm sorry. You were never going to be no one. The man grows old and the girl had to be tested, the Stark has served"

And then he changes his face to be the sword master from season one and says, "but now your training is complete".

double reverse fakeout.

After being stabbed why would Arya go back to Jaquen or the temple? I would think that's the last place she'd seek help from.

Some form of magic is the only thing that can save her imho. Not only did she get stabbed, she had the knife twisted inside her for good measure. A modern trauma surgeon or magic is her only hope, but who else besides Jaquen have we seen have any magical powers on Bravos?

EDIT: What about the red priestess Arya was eyeing many episodes ago?

The reason the Hound might end up in KL is him trying to take on the brotherhood and it isn't actually them it's someone loyal to the crown that then captures him and takes him back to Kings Landing.

Remember also he is going to be the High Sparrow's champion and now he is "righteously angry" over a Septon's death at a church raising. He is ripe for convincing.

He'll also have likely recently killed a bunch of blasphemous worshipers of the Lord of Light. Making the Faith of the Seven like him more?

Cleganebowl seemed more likely in the books where the Hound is a "Septon" and possibly champion of the sparrows. He's no such thing in the show.

Killing off Ian McShane was quite possibly the high point of the season so far. Don't get me wrong, given a choice I'd much rather have him permanently on the show, but bringing an actor like that into the show and then immediately killing him does seem very Game of Thronesish.

I'd go with this one. The Followers of R'hllor have a church in Braavos, so it's likely that she stumbles upon it. I was thinking that she washed up on the steps of the House of Black and White, but with the last scene of her in the market, I don't think she'll end up at the HoB&W accidentally.

It's just as likely he would still champion the high sparrow just for the pleasure to kill UnGregor. That said, I don't think it's happening this season yet.

Yeah he doesn't need a reason to fight his brother, it's just him getting there (in time) that's the issue. Which is why the show putting zero effort into showing the passage of time is so jarring. Yara and Theon had time to sail all the way to Volantis, Jon had enough time to march back and forth all across the north, but Ramsay hasn't had time to muster his armies and Cersei hasn't had her trial yet.

In the book he just becomes a gravedigger at a monastery. I don't see much of a difference in the setup of the show where he had joined an obviously religious community, led by a septon, that was raising a chapel.

i think cleganebowl can happen, but it has to be something convoluted like Hound gets captured by jaime, brought back to KL gets pardoned by tommen and becomes the champion of the septon. if so i doubt that all happens this season.

-edit
how do you sail to volantis without getting too close to valyria?

Agree she is screwed without magic. I don't think she would seek out Jaquen, but he could always find her. Who knows? As Paranoia pointed out, Jaquen has pretty much told Arya that she was out of chances. Still, the Waif's actions could have mitigated things. Jaquen said that there would be a new face in the temple- maybe it's the Waif's.

Edit: The more I think about it, the more I think the Waif is screwed either way. The show has made her quite the antagonist.

As for the pigs bladder full of blood theory, that only works if the person stabbing you is in on it. The Waif would have stabbed right through it if it was there, and I'm pretty sure Arya would have stayed hidden instead of staggering around Braavos pretending to be fatally wounded.

not to be that guy but the trailer clearly shows her running around/jumping so maybe we can put this debate about her dying or being grievously injured to rest. But then again with this show she could just shrug it off and never speak of her being stabbed again.

Think cleganebowl this season is a little unlikely but we'll see what happens after Cersei confronts the faith next week. I would guess she gets captured/mountain gets KO'ed/she sits in jail until trail by combat and they squeeze in the 'bowl in ep 10.

Hah, didn't watch the trailer. But if having an alien creature surgically excised from your stomach doesn't interfere with your ability to run around and take a major impact directly on the incision 5 minutes later, who cares about a few paltry stab wounds?
