That's definitely arya jumping. There was a season 6 featurette that I can't find anymore (was probably taken down) where they show the making of Arya's parkour scenes with Maisie Williams in full harness.

I read a theory that actually seemed pretty plausible. Arya got help from the actress she saved for some fake blood for under the shirt and then is leaving a blood trail to a trap to a dark place where she has needle hidden for when the waif comes to finish the job

It's so weird, that when Arya got stabbed it felt like a dream sequence!
She also immediately rolled over the bridge when stabbed, and it felt absolutely odd. Without the following sequence where she's absolutely paranoid about people around her, it would look very much like a setup ("when are they going to come for me?" "oh there she is" "ok, let's make sure they think I'm dead"), specially when compared to the ending of the previous episode. It feels like one of those scenes that don't make sense until later in the show.

thats assuming a few things, one that she wasnt going to get her throat cut and that the waif wouldnt catch up to her before she got to her hideyhole. who knows, its as plausible as anything with these writers.

My theory is that the waif made sure not to stab arya with life threatening wounds. She wants arya to suffer, deslpite what jaqen told her, so she gave her superficial wounds but enough to make her bleed and weaken her. Now that she is wounded and limping ,the waif is going to track and torment her. I bet towards the end of their duel, jaqen will step in and kill the waif admonishing and punishing her for not following his orders, to not let arya suffer too much.

Me:

Oh hey, that's ummm . . . Ian McShane. Yeah he's a good actor, he was in one of the Pirates of the Caribbeen movies . . . also in that death race movie.

He's always good . . . oh yeah I kinda dig his character here . . . so he's going to be in Game of Thrones now. . . that's good .

Ohh . . .ummm . . . ah damn it.

I don't necessarily believe the House of Black and White will save her but it's possible she could just go to them to ask for the gift rather than a long slow death.

As for The Hound I assume he will hear his brother has resurfaced or decide he needs to become one of the Holy Rollers in the sparrows military.

cool idea. But damn, that would require a major upgrade in Arya's ability to plan, act or do anything but be a total piece of garbage, and shame on her family.

So from the origination story of the faceless men from the book, don't they represent (in a somewhat twisted way) hope and salvation for those who have none in this life (e.g. killing of the slaves). Could it be that they aren't assassins in a traditional sense and Arya actually passed the actress test and JH is testing the waif with Arya?

I don't know how it's going to happen, but my expectation is that Arya is going to trick and trap and kill the waif. Return to the house wearing the waifs face (audience may or may not know), kills Jaqen and then sets on her return to westeros at the end of the season to kill or do whatever her story arc ultimately has her doing in the big picture.

I think anything as far as Arya being tested would have been made obvious by now. I think the point of the story we've seen this season is Arya has learned that the faceless men are just assassins that kill anyone for money (innocent or not, deserving of not). They aren't some mystical band of God working assassins that keep some balance in the world by eliminating evil and this and that, just merc-assassins. also the fact that she joined to give her a way to get her revenge on those she wants dead, but realizing she'd never be able to carry out her vengeance because her targets aren't hers to choose.

I also find it hard to believe you can swim with your abdomen shanked open like that. Swimming requires hella core.

Even if she did have fake blood, she totally got stabbed with a 3+ inch dagger. I don't buy that she isn't injured.

I rewatched the episode last night and the scene where she's buying passage back to Westeros seems really shifty. She's wearing new clothes, is standing upright and smirking a lot, and magically has a bunch of money (though it's implied she stole it). I kinda like the theory that Jaqen is wearing Arya's face as a test for the Waif.

So why did the brotherhood, whom in the show - until now has been fighting for the people...just up and murder the little hippy commune?

How would Jaqen be wearing Arya's face? They've specifically shown the faces being cut off corpses to add to the wall.

And the blood pouch idea, while probably something they'd consider, is completely retarded and hinges entirely on the waif stabbing her in that exact spot and not, you know, anywhere else.

Well, we didn't see who did it exactly, so maybe the brotherhood didn't do it. If they did do it(and I'm not sure who else it could've been), it definitely seems to be out of character for the group. Who knows what all has happened since we last saw them, though?

Ugh they better not fucking intro LSH now. I had a sinking feeling the minute they put Walder Frey _AND_ the Blackfish back into the show that they'll have to do something about the dangling LSH/Brotherhood riverlands fuckery. Just make it Thoros or something.
