I guess. It's just hard to imagine the "top tier" elitest of elite content of old being soloed today without an issue. I guess the 15 years thing makes sense, though.

Same shit happened in WoW and other MMO's. Save for the fights that they put mechanics that will simply kill you regardless of health that can't be done solo (or with clever workarounds)...eventually it all gets soloed.

Quarm is easily soloable now. I was surprised to hear that, but someone can go in solo (after making a raid) and do all of PoT without even the risk of getting wounded. We're talking not even using a healer mercenary. It's pretty sad.
when i went back to EQ 3 years ago for a bit, i played my twink Sk and with healer merc at lv 70ish i soloed all of Sleeper's Tomb cept for the dragons which i forgot how to get down to.

So saying I'm sad there will be no Expanse crossover into GoT this season, is a spoiler?

Well, the wight/white walker eyes are blue. Proto-Molecule is Blue. The connection is clear!

So the protomolecule fell on Westeros from that comet in the sky? Shit, they're doomed now!

They should ride dragons and burn it fast before it...

... hmmm, wrong fantasy universe...

I feel like the people complaining that characters are accepting of dragons (with visual evidence) among the other feats, yet not believe in things which haven't even been in common myth for thousands of years, have never actually interacted with people in real life because that is 100% how everyone thinks. There's people, important people, who don't believe in very proved-with-science-shit yet believe only gluten can properly be divinely transformed into a 2,000 years dead person's' flesh.

It's pretty easy to accept dragons when you have dragons. The white walkers are another level of fable and magic entirely.

People were soloing Kunark/Velious raid content in PoP too, and that was a much smaller gap. 40 levels is a lot.

that was more about being a smart sproiter than being joe schlub. during kunark, the Encs ruled OS with just a charmed frog and a donor blade.

Jon - I fought against the undead, became Top Bird at the Wall, was stabbed in the heart and came back and am now King in Da Norf.

Arya - I am a faceless assassin imbued with the power to kill anyone I meet

Bran - I am a time traveling, shape shifting demi-god

Sansa - ...I got raped a bunch...

And who's going to have the last laugh as she sits on the throne of the North after all the others end badly???

By the way, I saw an article today (can't find the link again) about mathematical analysis of the interaction of the characters and scenes vs chance of death before the end of the series. They had done it last year based on season 1-5 (and the results weren't too surprising, and a lot of high-death-probable chars did die in the season).

They redid it this season based on S1-6 this time, and there's a curious thing: the probabilities for a few characters shifted a lot, mostly toward the don't-die end of spectrum (don't worry: Daenerys is still #2 in chances of death before the end).

A colleague was commenting on that, and I said it wasn't surprising that plot seemed to shift: S6 is the one where Martin didn't wrote the action beforehand and they had to write it themselves. So it's not surprising that some characters might be headed to potentially different fates. But it's interesting that scientific analysis seem to indicate that.
