Didn't make the connection with the Varys scene either. Dunno how some of you remember that shit from years ago, unless you rewatch it every couple years.

I fucking hate how this dumb bitch does not know how to use dragons to their full potential. She's supposed to be leading an army but she makes the worst tactical errors ever.
Why would she not come up behind with the dragon? Why would you go head on when you have the ability to get the drop on your enemy from behind? It's not like she couldn't have cleared a path still. Then after she has a clear win under her belt she risks her ultima weapon by continuing to play pyromaniac. Stupid.

It's obvious she isn't a military tactician. Even after the first missed scorpion shot she flew RIGHT AT IT. I expect Jorah becomes her general.

Man it's really disappointing how this story shifted from that political intrigue to whatever the fuck it is we have now.
That speech is fucking amazing, but now that character has been relegated to a fucking "creepy uncle" stereotype. I remember reading the book threads and we all wondered if Littlefinger would be the one who ended up the most powerful in Westeros. That doesn't even seem like a remote possibility anymore. He's a 3rd tier character.

I like the show, but yeah, it would have been nice to see the books/show split into two different versions around that time. One without hardly any magic, and the one we have now. Varys and Littlefinger were always such interesting characters.

Littlefinger and Varus were my two favorite characters for a long time. The political chess the two of them were playing always seems above everyones heads. You're right, that element is missing now.

I had hoped it was still there, as in book 5 they both looked to be moving pieces around.
But with the show progressing past it that you realize what was/wasn't actually important. Like that one Targaryen kid that was apparently just a waste of a few hundred pages but looked like Varys' master plan.
That's why I always question wtf GRRM is doing. The first three books seemed to be setting up for this amazing political drama. And then it just veered off into crazy town.
Anyway, this was posted in FSR and fucking kills me.

I'm thinking Littlefinger. Arya was pouring him wine at Harrenhal when he was breaking bread with Tywin so she knows he was involved in everything that went down between the Lannisters and her family. Plus the way she reacted when she found out he was in Winterfell. Throw in the dagger going from him to Bran to her and they're pretty much telegraphing him becoming a last minute addition to her list.
