Episode 3 will likely have 70+ pages, and 5 & 6 will have fans bitching for a generation. I don't know why you think the mark for episode 1 is impressive.
I notice you left episode 4 out in your post. Syrio is alive CONFIRMED!!!

Has the show given any sort of explanation on why they don't just get Bran's advice on everything?

Bran is like a search engine, you/him have to know what he is looking for. That's why he assumed Jon's real surname was Sand, he didn't know about the marriage until Sam told him, so then he went back in time to the moment of the wedding.

That's a pretty specific thing to have to know to look for, though. You'd have to think being the 3 Eyed Raven he would have as much free time as he'd like since he could see where he's supposed to be (and when). He had to know about when Jaime would actually arrive, shouldn't have to sit in the courtyard for multiple days on end "waiting for an old friend". All the rest of that time he could have checked on the obvious shit, if Lannister army was coming to help, Golden Company landing, etc. All the important stuff.

has the Golden Company ever been shown in force on the TV show? i would be interested in what new characters they introduce.

Other than just in this episode? I don't think so? They actually had the one scene on the boat (and a larger shot of a good number of their boats) where their commander was facing all the men on the boat that I remember from the trailers...but in the trailers it felt like they wanted us to think it was Jaime (or maybe I just took it that way). Anyone know who the actor for the commander is and what else he's been in?

Bran is a wizard.

But he's sort of a retarded wizard.

I mean... that really IS kind of the vibe of bran. I guess we should call him "nearly hodj levels of autistic"

If you want a story friendly version of his apparent dumbness it's something along the lines of "the process of becoming the 3eyed raven not only made him something other than human, it dislodged his mind in time". Which means 99% of the time Bran just isn't paying attention.

The other dude was a tree, after all.

i binged through all 7 seasons while playing division 2 the last 2 weeks, i don't think I'd really want to rewatch the show again. Some really great moments but man you just really forget how many episodes there are where fuck all happens for 90% of it.

still really excited though to see this finish, I can't believe there are still like ... 7 hours? of GoT, I mean I could see it all wrapping up in like 1 or 2 hours so gonna be interesting to see how they drag it out.

also the shit posting memes everywhere are fantastic

Things like if Cersei's keeping up her end of the agreement that Jon and Sansa are in disagreement about and is a pretty big deal could be answered in a minute. Pretty useful resource they have on their hands that they don't ever care to use

Jon hasn't seen him since he was in a coma. He probably thinks the fall turned him retarded

has he lost weight? His throat warbler doesn't look at prominent

Of course, none of those girls will realize after putting that quote in that Cersei gave it up literally right after saying it.
