And spoil the TV show?!? WTF!

I know what Sansa is up to in the book, I'm just not sure how likely Littlefinger's plan is work out with her. Were those Vale lords (Lords Declarant?) still semi-rebelling against Littlefinger at the end of the last book? I remember he fucked up their plans with the turncoat but forgot what they did after that.

(I read most of this stuff in the wikis preparing to play the RPG (*geek*), we're a Vale House but time wise we're after Jon Arryn dying but before Robert's death. So most of the good stuff hasn't happened yet.)

joffrey in the books is even worse than the TV show joffrey, if thats at all possible. king robert found him mutilating cats and he ordered a lot more deaths for minor infractions than he does on TV. Sansa isnt so bad, she really just wanted to get away from winterfell. cant say i blamed her, that place is pretty much an ice cold shithole. and what little girl doesnt dream about being a princess?

LOL @ Jamies line in that clip
"its a shame the throne wasnt made of cocks, he would never have gotten off it" (in reference to Renly)

Also what the fuck up is with Emilia Clarkes Makeup/Eyebrows, it looks like she used a makeup shotgun.

I find her terrible as I feel she has no character. Her little dreams of marrying a cute little prince and pooping out babies is more important than... well, anything. I could have stomached it up until the journey down the King's Road and the thing with the Butcher's Son. That was the end for me, her inability to put right and wrong over her ridiculous fantasies was just too much.

I do understand that she does redeem herself a bit as we go along, but man, I just can't bring myself to feel bad for the horrible shit show of a life she has put herself in, because I can't help but feel she rather deserves it.
She's a fucking 12 year old.

Which doesn't mean the same thing now as it did 500 years ago. Then again, while we see Bran and Robb be leadery and semi-competent, they are men and trained to be. They really don't seem to train girls to do much but be pretty furniture and poop babies I guess. So yeah, I guess.

Still can't make me like her you filthy low information nazi mods!

There was nothing more satisfying to me than reading about Cersei, once she had control of the kingdom through Joffrey, just basically screwing up everything. In her mind, she thought she was doing good, and from every other person's perspective she was just SOOO bad at ruling. Haha. Makes me smile inside when people so full of themselves just majorly screw up (I don't even need the moment of them realizing it, because sometimes they never do, but the rest of the world does).

Yeah, Sansa was raised to be some lord's wife. She was beyond naive. I find it hard to really blame her for everything that went on, she was brought up with her head full of all this bullshit. I blame Cat for that shit.

The Lannisters aren't evil. The Greyjoys aren't evil. The Targaryen's aren't evil. NO ONE is evil. There is no evil.
Boltons. Cliche evil, even.

But yeah, in well written stories you very rarely have "evil" as we think of it, because most people associate "evil" with cliche caricatures, like Nazis. When given some perspective, almost everyone has redeeming qualities that make them not seem so bad. But there are tons of levels this can be argued on--Is evil in the intent, or the outcome (IE Daeny ending slavery but her actions cause the death of thousands)? How about ends vs means? If someone kills 10 children to save 10,000 lives, is that evil? What if they laugh and enjoy doing it, vs cry and loathe doing it? Does it change the act by how they perceive and function in it?

Lots of levels...and a good story explores them.
