No it was made clear by the show runners and the posts were there explaining that to you, and you read them, you just ignored them. basically just read my posts in this thread, then read your replies denying them. Arianne, Aegon, Victarion, Euron*, Quentyn all joined strong belwas, cold hands, and lady stoneheart in the "doesn't matter, not actually important" bin of not making it into the TV show because they are ultimately, fluff characters that aren't important to how the story ends. If the roles they had to play in certain scenes were important enough then they were shot with other characters filling in the gaps (ie Cold Hands was replaced by a flock of ravens, and then Jon Snow and company, Daario replaced Belwas as champion, etc)

*there's still a certain segment of the fanbase who believes daario=euron so i'll leave that there.
Let's cut the coolest fuckers in the series and have 3 more seasons of sitting around talking to slavers in Notegypt. -- HBO

honestly i am not looking forward to this season, i mean if its on, then i will watch it, but i am no longer excited about this show. all the stuff i liked was done in previous seasons , then they take out all the cool characters in favor of fleshing out dull ones. when reading the series has anyone here been interested in the love life of The Unsullied?

i dont even have a new book to look forward to this year.

Victarion is a big loss I think, he was fucking awesome. I can only imagine what they could have added with Euron and Warlocks. Aegon didn't do much in the books, but all the previews for Winds of Winter show him to be quite awesome.

Arianne... sure merge her with a Snake Snake whatever. Her story is only good for the single Dorne for Targaryens plot twist.

At least one of the scenes in the trailer had Danaerys in the pit surrounded by her Unsullied who were then surrounded by the masters or whatever. I wonder if that's the last episode and right before she gets dragon-uber'd out of there.

Yeah loosing Victarion is a sore blow, but the takeaway is that they are committed to finishing the entire series and they know they don't have a huge window left for doing that.

with the limited window they have, whats the likely outcome? daeny heads to the wall with drogon to deus ex the white walkers and then after, she does a driveby on king's landing?

North is fucked and White Walkers head south, Stannis and Littlefinger bend the knee in the Red Keep to help Dany kill Night's King in the final siege of King's Landing. Loads of people die, predictable people take over their Kingdoms.

How do white walkers get past the magic of the wall? Speculating they have the horn of winter?

Did we ever figure out what happened with the huge army of white walkers that passed fatty on the way to the wall? Looked like armageddon but I think it was two seasons ago.

i dont know how true that is, if you look at it as only introducing characters that matter, then are we supposed to believe that everyone new this season will matter and that all the unkilled characters this far matter as well?
All of book 4 all of 2 things happen. Cersei fucks up and re-establishes the faith militant and fucks her self in the process, and Dorne's master plan is revealed. Everything else is fluff. Arya's training, cool, shoulda stuck with the 5 year gap bro cus she's done for the next 3 books before she's ready to do anything. Who else is in book 4? oh right nothing else happens.

Cersei's story is being presented this season we know, including her walk of shame, and so is dorne's master plan. In the books it takes a book and a half (4 & 5) for Ariane to be a uppity cunt and try to crown myrcella which immediately backfires. then 90% of a book her whining about it and the sandsnakes being imprisoned, then Dorian revealing that they are going to ally with Dany and conquer westeros via a marriage pack with Quentyn. Before they find out that shit didn't work out Arianne has already decided being an uppity cunt was fun last time and decides to completely undo her father's master plan and is going to woo Faegon, try to take over, and get his/her shit pushed in and die to Dany.

With only 2 seasons left for the entire series after season 5 they've trimmed all the extraneous fluff. they've aged Mycella and Trystane up. Ellaria Sand (character TV audience already knows) is initially Arianne in this version and she is the one wanting vengence for her dead lover Oberyn (character tv audience already knows) and will be the one crowning Myrcella and having her wed Trystane. Dorian may have a master plan to wed Trystane to Dany and Ellaria will fuck it up. insert romeo/juliet type story for the two young lovers. Trystane plays Aegon's role, Myrcella plays Arianne's in the coming winds of winter spoiler (late season 5/early season 6). Arianne/Aegon equivalents still get to die just as they will in the novels. minor changes. Dorian's son (trystane this time) still gets to die, his plan still fails due to his family fucking shit up. Also Myrcella also still gets to die (as that's her ultimate fate in the novels as well) it just plays out differently condensed for TV viewing audience with existing characters they are already familiar with.

TLDR: Book Version, Dorne's plan is to ally with Dany but it gets fucked up and they ally with a pretender who dany ends up having to defeat before she can take the throne.

Does Ellaria sand actually matter? no, but then again neither does Arianne except as a antagonist (or protaganist if your prefer) to Dany's conquest. The same is true as Faegon or any other late addition characters GRRM added when he decided he didn't like writing books anymore.

I think in the books at this point they are rampaging through small coastal villages or something

+1 for being unhappy that the Iron Islands are getting skipped. I thought all the stuff with Victarion, Euron and Aeron was the best parts of those books. Plus Asha is hot in ways I'm not comfortable with.
