So yeah that EW article's Arya picture was just her Braavosi "Cat of the Canals" costume. So we get to see her early missions this season.

But they did make one big change from the books that was already set up earlier: It looks like Arya gets to knock a name off her list!

That was pretty much obvious the moment Cersei sent Meryn to Braavos at the beginning of the season.

If they're just now adding the Greyjoy shit next season and doing Sam and fam, I'm less and less convinced this ends in 7 seasons. Those two moves seem like attempts to stretch the show instead of condensing. I remember some HBO exec talking about the 7 season plan, but I could've sworn that had since been replaced with "as many seasons as it takes".

Sansa lied about the incident, letting the blame fall on Arya. Since they couldn't punish Arya, and Nymeria wasn't there, she basically got Lady killed:

She was like 12 years old. How can a 12 year old girl resist the Joffinator?

And they're even younger in the book. I never really got the hate Sansa gets for acting like an idiot. Kidsareidiots.

Sophie Turner's acting ability is pretty good for her age.

Her character is useless and annoying most of the time.

I don't hate book Sansa, because she was indeed an idiotic kid until like book 5 or whenever she's following Baelish around incognito, where she receives an upgrade to painfully naive teenager. Which is where it starts to be fair to hate her for being stupid because all the horrible things that have happened around her and to her should have at least shocked her out of her naivete, even if they didn't turn her into a malicious self-serving schemer like everyone else in Westeros. Like, has she even begun to suspect Baelish of ulterior motives yet, or is she still just happily clinging on to her 'rescuer'?

TV Sansa is a couple years older, so it's a lot harder to feel sympathy for her because she has no real excuse to be that fucking stupid, aside from mommy and daddy coddling their little princess. Props to her for at least making some kind of an effort with the Ramsay thing, but I feel like she either didn't really think that through, or she somehow never heard any of the tales about what kind of a depraved monster Ramsay is. Either way she's in way over her head, and it might end up going very badly for her. Maybe instead of merging the role of Lady Stoneheart with Sansa, Sansa will actually literally become Lady Stoneheart after Ramsay flays her alive and sets his dogs on her, and Jon Stark-Targaryen orders Melisandre to bring her back.

Listening to Sansa get flayed alive off camera would probably make everyone forget all about the 'rape' scene with Ramsay.

I think she's going to try to stab Ramsay with her corkscrew but he will stop her, then Theon is going to go super saiyan and tear him to shreds. I think the most uncomfortable part of that whole rape scene was looking at Theon's ugly face

I'd like to see her in more first, but yeah, she's astonishingly good at this role. That's why I thought all the outrage did her a disservice as an actor. Both her and the Welsh kid that plays Ramsay are Emmy/bafta worthy this season.

Did they ever explicitly say that it was Petyr's plan to betray Ned the whole time? What I took away from it was that he was perfectly willing to work with Ned, until he realized that Ned's unbendable honor was setting him on a course directly for the wall or a headsman's block. At that point he betrayed Ned to save his own skin.

I mean slimy, yeah, but I don't think he had malicious intent. She's obsessed with the Lannisters and the northmen who betrayed Robb. The brotherhood without banners has already strung up some of the Freys, as well as the Bloody Mummers.
They explicitly said that Petyr killed Lord Jon Aryn which pretty much set off the entire game of thrones book. I think the consistent theme with Petyr is that he sows chaos without getting caught, works with all sides then capitalizes whenever he can.

Ned could've played his cards better, ended up King and LF would've likely played a big enough part in it to earn something very useful like providing evidence that Bobby B had no legitimate heirs.

Are you saying it would have been better looking into Sansa's face as it happened?

What would you prefer watching Ramsay's face? What's the point of watching a rape scene if you can't see the victim crying. Tears make for the best boners.

I think so. It was a character break for reek.

Seeing sansa's face wouldve been better characterization of the moment. Maybe she keeps a straight enough face to show that she's accepting as part of a bigger plan. Who knows.

Seems odd to have her get a "new face" to be Cat of the Canals yet look exactly like Arya still

Oh I agree that looking deeply into Sansa's eyes when it happened would have been better. I love the look of passion in women's eyes when they have consensual sex.

they could do it like they did in RIPD. they made ryan reynolds and jeff bridges into an old chinaman and a blonde bimbo by changing the PoVs of how other saw them.
