I especially liked the part where the wilding warrior/mom saw the zombie kids and was like "hell no I can't" and let them over run her. Its good acting when not a word of dialog needs to be said to convey the feeling of the moment.
Wildling warrior/mom was pretty hot for an older broad. Actually, I don't know if she was older, but she was in the earllier group as one of the "elders".

It was kind of sad that she died that quick. I guess she was wearing a red shirt underneath all that fur. I do not think we have seen the end of her character as it did make a point to show her rise back up.

Is there any good reason Tommen couldn't just have the army steamroll the fanatics and free Margery and Cersei other than him simply being a pussy? this seems a bit ridiculous

On the plus side, at this point the thread faggots can't do much more damage (without it being blatant, that is). Probably half of the storylines have passed the books at this point, and the other half are damn close.

I don't think we'll get to the point where the threads merge, as the spoiler thread is basically "book readers talk about the show" and this is the non-book reader equivalent. But it's getting to the point where the worst you'll hear is stuff that just expounds on the universe like the Valyrian weapons list that Tuco posted. It doesn't spoil anything and just gives you more info, but it's information you'd only get from non-show sources.

Actually, was just thinking about it and there's a lot of talk in the spoiler thread about storylines long passed that got cut. People still talk about "just wait until soandso happens!" despite all evidence being that it'll never be in the show.
Moved this post to the spoiler thread.

If you're watching a show known for shocking its audience and you say, "I know more about the show than you, there's no more known shocks in the show." to people trying to not be spoiled, what exactly are you thinking?

Shit like this is why I have to enact zero tolerance policies on this stuff. I post a bit of information about valyrian weapons, then everyone comes in with their book-based opinions that spoil the plot for non-readers.

In the books it was the simple fact that they were massively outnumbered. Cersei basically gave all the thousands of poor people at Flea bottom weapons. Combine that with the fact that a good portion of their army is out in the field (I think Jamie had a huge force laying siege to the Blackfish at this point in the books). Kevan took most of the army back to Casterly Rock. So that leaves only the Gold Cloaks (about 2,000 men) vs a city of 500,000.

Its the historical equivalent of when the Parisians stormed the Bastille, except, you know.. Cersei kind of just gave them the weapons. They are at the mercy of the masses.

alright, i was under the impression that dany was pissed that jorah was spying on her, despite who it was. she has never met varys, so she really doesnt know his motives even though we do (mostly).
I think it leads back to that poison wine thing way back - I think that was the attempt to kill her that Robert set up that Jorah was to facilitate- and he did, until the last moment hence the look the vendor gave him- kinda like Dookuu looking at the emperor at the beginning of ep3- and yes because the pardon was Roberts doing- meaning he had to do some work for Robert who straight up wanted her dead.

The entire story would've been so much better and maybe even finished, if Jorah would've just poisoned her. For all her blathering on about usurpers she forgets who the OG usurpers actually are.

'The army' is not how things worked in the feudal system. There's no professional standing army. The kingsguard seems pretty depleted, the city watch lost a ton of men at the battle of Blackwater Bay. Lannister house guards might not be enough. He would have to rally the Lannister and Tyrell bannermen to raise an army.

He's afraid of Margery being the first to get killed if he makes a military move.

so, varys sent jorah to give counsel to dany and report back to him, dany finds out and banishes him. varys then sends tyrion to dany to give counsel, tells dany that it was varys who sent him and she accepts his counsel. so what was the difference here? that tyrion was up front about it? i assume at some point varys will check in with tyrion to found out how things are going, if he tells him anything, would that not be the same thing jorah got banished for?
Tyrion was totally upfront about what he was doing and why Jorah hid it from her and only ever told her when forced to. That is a pretty big difference in trust levels and feelings of betrayal.

What I don't get... at least in the shows..as I haven't read the books is... Dany is like "ok fine ill open the fighting pits, but it has to be voluntary fighters yo" - Jorah and Tyrion in fighting pits... never did she ask or think "oh they are still using slaves!"

Yeah that never happens in the books, Tyrion and Jorah are stuck in the siege outside Mereen when she flies off with Drogon.

Well besides winter it could be because they think they have a much better chance due to Dragons no longer existing. I am guessing dragon glass is created from the breathe of a dragon. The thing they do not know is that 3 dragons still do exist. Because of this, more weapons can be fashioned. I guess we will find out or it will just be a "Because" kind of thing.
It should also be mentioned that the White walkers haven't faced any real resistance yet, even Jon killing one of the walkers doesn't seem to matter when you get thousands of fresh new bodies for your army in return

and the Night King was clearly just showing off to Jon at the end for the extra humilation

It's funny that Tyrion finally meets her and in the next couple episodes everything will go to shit and she flies off without him. I wonder if he's going to be stuck holding the shit bag that is their city, like he did with King's Landing.

The show passed the shit bag from Barristan to Tyrion.

Yunkai invasion next season? Maybe Tyrion will make a big chain.

Probably depends on if she get's married before she bails. Her new husband would likely assume power in her absence.

Well the undead masses are the undead masses... White Walkers are not just some of the undead- they obviously make/control the undead- but where do they come from? other than, they are just what they are... but it seems there are not that many white walkers- and two have been killed... do they make white walkers out of those babies left in the forest? I would assume they where taking them for a reason, not just to grow them to add to their countless undead army.
