The wights and white walkers are definitely limited to The North via some magikz right now. I'm guessing The Wall prevents them from crossing to the south via it's magikz and maybe because both ends touch the water they're good too.

If I had a secret super weapon I'd sure as fuck hide it, especially if I could still use it. The second some one knows you have it they'll work on countering it/preparing for it. That's why I guess it was on the mountain after the fog rolled in.

There were only like 3 or 4 Night's Watch guys there in the middle of thousands of wildlings and there's no obvious way for the Night King to know that Jon was the Lord Commander.
I'm not saying he should have known that Jon is the LC, but anyone watching down on the fight from on high would have realized Jon was a leader in combat, the kind of person you cut down if for no other reason but to deny your adversary an asset.

Well they did send a huge wave of zombies after him. The one that chanced a melee died. There may not be many of them to risk to that, and they have zombies so why risk it?

He might have also seen Jon's weapon and decided he wanted to prepare for that. Maybe he knows he'll be Azor Ahai reborn. We really don't know at all what the NK knows.

Not sending the minions after their boat is what I was getting at when I said "slip away".

Seems silly to nitpick an obvious 'we did it this way because it made for an awesome looking scene' scene.

Not really, no, there hasn't been a whole lot to catch. It hasn't been mentioned in awhile and even when it is, it is something very cryptic, they have never said what they are doing. Its like, people who have read the books pick up on all these subtle clues and then pat themselves on the back when they knew what was going to happen all along because they are like omg, you didn't see that coming with x, y, and z having happened, what are you, dumb?.

We had another bold prediction last week and it totally makes sense, but I would have never seen it coming. Maybe the person is just making a good prediction based on the clues we were given and history of the story, but if it comes to fruition I'll never believe that person didn't already know.
I'm sure we have people making predictions because they read the books. Not every prediction can be credited to this though. The mountain was mentioned in scenes and this show doesn't have scenes that don't have a purpose. Same way I can predict that Hodor isn't going to show up because that storyline has had fuck all to do with this season.

I think it's safe to say someone is probably going to be making a trip to Valyria pretty soon, most likely to search for more swords. I refuse to think they just threw in Valyria as a lolore scene and not setting it up for something soon.

Or why the NK didn't just kill Jon given how apparently easy it should have been for him. Pretty sure Snow's full set of plot armor keeps the walkers away too.

They're already past the books in a few cases, and I expect them to be completely ahead before midway through next season. Foreknowledge is almost gone.

Im surprised the boat shit is such an issue, the WW having multiple chances to kill Jon but instead kept throwing him around for no reason bothered me more. Oh I can stab you in the back, let me pick you up and thow you, oh you have no where to run let me attack you with the safe side of my spear. Atleast we dont know if the zombies ect cant swim or what was going throw the NK head besides fucking with them

I haven't read the books and you have to expect something of the mountain. There was that scene a few episodes ago when they were in the new Maester's lab and the Mountain's under the sheet and he starts spasming and shit. Obviously something's going to go down at some point.

Yea, that's the same shit as in Terminator. And it bugs the hell out of me in games when all my moves are melee range and they give me knockback effects. I'm like, yo dude, I'm not as dumb as arnold, I can't kick him in the face if he's across the damn room now can I? The whole "badass throws you rather than stabs you" thing is lame. When we see the counterpoint to that like The Mountain just skullcrushing Oberyn it's much more satisfying and plausible.

You guys are assuming a lot about the objectives of the White Walkers and the Night's King. Instilling fear/terror may be a motivation, from their tactics it certainly seems so. Killing everything as fast as possible doesn't seem to be their goal. Otherwise the books would have been over in book 1, the rangers weren't THAT far from the wall and there is a shit ton of dead just buried everywhere.

That's not really related to exposing the alleged ice dragons. If he could just walk his zombies underwater around the wall, why would they build a wall? And why aren't the white walkers a part of the lore of other continents? Methinks they have some limits.
The people of Yi Ti have legends about the "Lion of Night" and his demons who came forth and were defeated by Hyrkoon (their version of Azor Azhai/The Last Hero). They also have The Five Forts in the far North of their country to defend from what lies beyond. Its in that World of Ice and Fire book.

Im just saying if I was going to complain it would be the WW not killing Jon then the army not turning into a bunch of Michael Phelps and trying to take out 1 boat.
