To be fair, Preston Jacobs does come up with some compelling theories. Sometimes he reaches pretty far (and I feel like he's trolling a bit) but in general, his logic is sound. I watch his videos mostly for entertainment, not an in depth analysis of the author's universe-building efforts. It's very hard to believe that Martin put as much forethought and scientific reasoning into the world as Jacobs gives him credit for.

the reasoning behind people dissecting every word in ASoI&F is that each novel takes at least 5 years to be written. and as for those videos i linked, its not conspiracy theories, its a recap of what you saw on the show and didnt get from the books. i dunno why this concept is so fucking hard for some of you people. either watch those videos and enjoy it or dont and stop commenting on something you were too lazy to move your mouse over to click on the links.

Have any of you read Martin's other work. These theories are based on the misguided thought process that Martin is a smart man. He has written some bizarrely stupid stuff. Read some of the WildCARD stuff and get back to me with these creative theories.
