This isn't a mistake like he thought something would play out one way and it played out differently. Giving Sansa to Ramsey and then going "Oh he's a bad guy? Who knew???" is completely out of his character.
He specifically warned Ramsay not to hurt Sansa. Again, just like Roose, he thought Ramsay would be smart enough not to play his games with someone as important as Sansa. I'm sure he knew Ramsay was an evil fuck, but I doubt he knew he was nothing more than a mad dog.

Yeah, IDK why this is so hard to see for some of you. Even IF we assume LF is functionally omniscient about people in Westeros insomuch as Varys is.

Sansa is the key to their hold on the North. They 100% NEEDED her to secure the Warden of the North Bolton Dynasty. Even Roose didn't think Ramsay would be so fucking stupid to jeopardize that with his games. Let alone LF. Anyone who knew what as at stake would have thought, hey, okay he's a prick and into some fucked stuff (keep in mind in the show he only flayed people nobody cared about really and hunted peasant girls only). But we can reasonably figure he likes being in power and perpetuating our dynasty is basically his only real job in life and that will be more important to him than fucking with people and flaying them.

No reasonable person would assume that Ramsay is so crazy as to jeopardize the very thing he cares about most (power). As 99% of other Lords would not do shit like that. Why do you think Roose told him, "act like a mad dog and you'll get treated like one?"

Lady Hornwood situation doesn't even count because that occurred in the books and we're talking the context of the TV show.

LF wants Sansa to marry some dude named Harry in TWoW, the released Sansa excerpt was all about it.

yeah all about how he was a douche with the same vibe as ramsay. Maybe not quite as bad as him, but it doesn't look like Sansa's book journey is all peaches and rainbows.

which makes sense why they gave her jeyne poole's part for the tv show.

The way I read it, is he played the boltons by giving them a stark to seal their control. Then he used that as a reason to get cerseis control, and a promise of being warden of the north of he gets her back. And her being tortured and them needing to save her is his way of getting the vales army.

Now he can use the army of the vale to march on the north, over throw the boltons, take control of the north with Sansa while also controlling the vale through a weak child puppet. All while looking like a hero, and having the support of the throne

Ok well it's better than the Dorne writing at least. Aim low!

But seriously, the writing in the books was great until book 4. I still don't like the setup for the Red Wedding, but I've come to realize that it wasn't Robb being stupid, it was Catelyn, and you can't really blame a dude too much for taking bad advice from mom. The collapse of House Stark is pretty much entirely her fault, if you take a look back at all the shit she did leading up to her death, even Sansa wasn't as dumb as Catelyn.
She even admits it.

The butthurt over the possibility that Baelish could have finally made a mistake is pretty ridiculous.
I forget which season it was, but I believe it was in the books as well at one point when he was still in King's Landing where Cersei was virtually on the edge of just ordering him being murdered. She at least threatened him, and it pretty much showed that he still wasn't completely on top of the heap as far as being ahead of everyone.

Yeah he badly overplayed his hand by tossing the incest rumor in her face and telling her 'knowledge is power' or something, she ordered her guards to kill him, told them to stop, and told him 'power is power'. So yeah he's far from infallible.

So Kit Harrington is dating Rose Leslie now and I guess has been for some time.

He says he fell in love with her during season 2 in Iceland.

Tonight's episode is called "I didn't think this emo shit through" and the synopsis is interesting. Having forgotten a horse and food, doubts fill Jon Snow as he begins his long walk to the brothel.

At least they gave Daario and Jorah the sense to mount a ridiculous rescue mission at night time.
