Oh fuck off dude, seriously. If the game is unplayable on older SSDs, then thats a fucking issue and Sony fucked up. You can point that out even if you aren't one that was effected by it. I have had zero issues with mine but I'm not so much of a jackoff that I can't see it being a problem for other people.
They put out a disclaimer that the experience wouldn't be as good loading it off just the HDD. That's more than enough. The game is built to run off the disc+hdd. It's also not "unplayable", it just doesn't stream textures as well.
