Just pointing out the obvious. It's really sad that you don't know anything about the HDDs, especially since it's been talked about plenty before in other games. In every single game that loads data from the HDD their performance is significantly improved by ditching the horribly shitty stock HDDs that come in both the X360 and PS3. This is not some GTA5 specific thing, this is a normal thing to do on a forum like this for any game that uses texture-streaming, especially Unreal engine games which perform notoriously bad on the stock parts. It's really fucking common in PS3s due to how easy it is to swap a hard drive (less so with the X360 due to the enclosure bullshit). Most people I know with PS3s do this, the more serious ones even put in SSDs in theirs, though a really good 7200 platter drive is generally good enough due to the limited bus speeds.
