I do feel bad for him. I mean, I dont know if that is his issue, but he clearly has some sort of problem. However, if he is going to fling mud around he is going to get some back. Insulting people all day long and then expecting them to remain civil with you is absurd.

I like Sean, never had and don't have any problems with him.

But dude needs an intervention, needs people around him to stop enabling him, or at least to help him take some steps forward.

I'm sure if you took me to a quack psychotherapist circa 2004-2008 or 2009 they would have declared me all sorts of phobics and biopolars and manic depressives and blah blah blah. I'm already "diagnosed" ADHD and have been since I was like 8. They will throw amphetamine salts at me like you can't believe if I wanted them.

So much of our existence is predicated on our perception and our mindset. If we change our mindset, we can change ourselves. I believe it because I have lived it and continue to live it. Its a struggle every fucking day to not be a lazy shithead, but I do it. Because I have some degree of self respect.

A lot of people don't anymore. I blame the fucking media, honestly.

Yes, I have a fucking loser branch of my family that has made a career of making up bullshit "conditions" and collecting disability. What's even more fucked is they make up conditions for their young kids and draw additional disability $$ on them. Sure that has no mental impact on their development. Makes my blood boil.

DISCLAIMER: Not saying this is Sean's case, just agreeing that Hodj has a point about enabling people who desire to be lazy useless fucks.

Draegan broke Tuco's rule about not handing out infractions in the Rickshaw because Duppin, much like Sean, can't handle criticism for a problem he could easily fix by simply brushing his teeth.

I expect this one will be overturned once I start quoting Tuco saying things like "This community won't be changing, we've always called Etoille fat and no one got infracted for it"

Well, look, here's the thing.

When the janitor job posting was set up on MN, it was implied that the job description was basically going to be just cleanup. Moving threads, killing spambots, removing the dead babies.

If we're gonna have a dozen mods here all with their own set of circumstances of what's acceptable and what's not, and start infracting people based upon them, this place is gonna go to shit really quick. That wasn't my understanding of what the goal was over there, and I don't know if that's changed or not, but I suspect that's not what the majority of the community wants. We're all big people here, if you can't take some internet ribbing, you should go hang out with Cam over at the lonely goblin cock disability phone sex line. Loosely moderated doesn't and shouldn't mean that janitors should be fucking with anyone on anything aside from the obvious egregious circumstances.

All that's changed is instead of one person trying to figure out the best way to moderate a community you have a handful of people thinking together on how to moderate a community.

Your role in this is to continue point out inconsistencies and mistakes in moderation. But if the only inconsistency you see is a post getting edited and we all talk it over and agree together that it shouldn't have been edited, maybe it's a little soon to say everything is going to shit.

We've always been allowed to call Cathan dumb, we've always been allowed to rag on Etoillie for being fat and telling her that no one cares about her livejournal shit (and sorry, but you're gonna go back to being the resident punching back without Trex around).

I think it's funny that you guys are downplaying this when it's a legitimate issue. The reason this community is what it is is because there were very very few rules around it. Once you start opening shit up to being subjective to mod A or mod B doesn't like the content of a post, you're just asking for everyone to pick up their ball and go home. You guys said it in another thread, this place is gonna fucking die without new traffic. We don't have the mighty FOH hanging over us anymore, if you start driving people away by changing what this place has always been, you're not gonna get anyone to replace them.

Every thing you've brought up has been addressed. So now you're just making bullshit up. You can still call Cathan dumb and Etoille fat. Nobody gives a shit. Go circle jerk BMizzle. He can be afraid that atheists are taking away Christmas, and you can be afraid that I'm going to take away your ability to be a shitty poster.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but unlike Metal Badass Merlin, Duppin has never posted RL pics that meet the RR tagged criteria. He probably just found pics of some ugly dude with a guitar and posted them so he could be a martyr.

Yet here we are.

Duppin is the biggest piece of shit on these forums. He reports everyone, constantly. I bet if you could see Draegan's mailbox, it would be 99% Duppin whining about something.
