http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/b...ped-dates.htmlAlright, time to break the superbowl recipes out. I'm looking for something meaty, but non-chicken. There's always a ton of chicken at this party.
I guess it really doesn't even need to be meaty, really. I'm leaning toward bacon-wrapped water chestnuts in a brown sugar/soy sauce.
I've actually had these before at a tapas restaurant. So good, but incredibly rich. They'd be wasted on this particular crowd.http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/b...ped-dates.html
Also you can leave out and/or replace the blue cheese part with honey for some variety.
Made these last week - they were fucking awesome. Let them sit in the crockpot on warm after they were done, didn't over cook the bacon TOO much.I'll mention again, bacon wrapped little smokies with brown sugar are pretty great!
Could probably do them with turkey if sodium is a concern.Ohhh those ham and Swiss sandwiches joe posted up in here! With like a poppy seed dressing drizzled on top and baked! Those were so good!
Ham too high in sodium?
I cover them with about a 1/4 cup of maple syrup after I put them in the crockpot to keep warm. They are fucking DELECTABLE for sure!Made these last week - they were fucking awesome. Let them sit in the crockpot on warm after they were done, didn't over cook the bacon TOO much.
Theres more than one way to cook an egg. Dave Arnold has 11 | The Splendid TableI just wanted to point out that you can cook an egg in its shell without the ridiculousness of sous vide. Only partly my fault it went this far. Khane had fun with it, why can't you?
You would think, wouldn't you? Deli turkey is packed with sodium, too. The only way around it is cooking a whole turkey breast.Could probably do them with turkey if sodium is a concern.
