Specialty Gourmet Popcorn-Hulless Popcorn-Small KernelPopcorn,
I have an air popper, i get jiffytime kernals, orville redenbacher sucks, that popcorn tastes weird.
going "healthy" so usually it's a drizzle of olive/seseme oil so salt/seasoning can stick to the popcorn, mixed with 2 tsp of butter.
any recommendations to up my popcorn experience?
gonna be making that tzatzki recipe later this week, yeah more celery!
I use an airflosserI hate popcorn because of shells in teeth. Every bloody time.
It is the devil's snack!
It isn't actually hulless, it is an industry term for smaller kernel popcorns which tend to have more tender hulls. Relevant to the current discussion, they break up more and are less likely to get stuck in your teeth. Apparently they can be easier to digest as well. The thing most people don't realize about corn in general is there are thousands of varieties and each of them actually tastes very different. Most major brand popcorn is grown for size of the kernel, and therefore the size of the popped corn. Kind of like those enormous, but flavorless, beefsteak tomatoes. The "gourmet" varieties are smaller, just like heirloom tomatoes, but each type has a different flavor. Like the fiery garnet literally tastes like it already has butter on it. Petite princess amber has this really subtle sweetness that I am very fond of. Etc.The link isn't working. Does it explain how you can pop popcorn without a hull? I thought that was required to contain the steam pressure until it burst.
Yeah I didn't realize quite how much meat it was. I'll just have to use it to seduce women. That should work right?Yeah, I think I did 10 hours on a 5 lb one and it came out perfectly. Gotta be at least another couple hours for 10 lbs, I guess? That's a big ass roast for a single dude! Pulled pork all week.
