Popcorn,

I have an air popper, i get jiffytime kernals, orville redenbacher sucks, that popcorn tastes weird.

going "healthy" so usually it's a drizzle of olive/seseme oil so salt/seasoning can stick to the popcorn, mixed with 2 tsp of butter.

any recommendations to up my popcorn experience?

gonna be making that tzatzki recipe later this week, yeah more celery!
Specialty Gourmet Popcorn-Hulless Popcorn-Small Kernel

Ridiculously good. The petite princess amber and the fiery garnet are my favorites. They all taste noticeably different.

The link isn't working. Does it explain how you can pop popcorn without a hull? I thought that was required to contain the steam pressure until it burst.

I hate popcorn because of shells in teeth. Every bloody time.
It is the devil's snack!
I use an airflosser
Amazon.com: Philips Sonicare HX8211/02 Airfloss Rechargeable Electric Flosser: Health Personal Care

yea sounds stupid to replace floss w/ a machine, but tons of ppl use an electric toothbrush (i have sonic care brush as well) it works extremely well, as good as floss, and like less messy. I like steaks and this takes care of gristle in between teeth like nothing, dentist likes it too b/c at least i'm flossing. Also one of them (i have 2, me and wifes) stopped working and they sent me a new one in a few days, just send them back the old one, no credit card required.

if you have sensitive gums probably good for those that do, then you won't be "cutting" yourself everytime you floss.

Here is a picture of my plate of souse vide meat the first time I did it and a cross section of the meat as well.

I was told to always cook it whichever way you are doing it with the fat on it and then cut it off afterwards if you want to.

That looks real good, nice work on the swirl.

I did homemade Giant meatballs and spaghetti this weekend. GF made the noodles.

Adapted a variation of Anne Burrell's meatballs:Link

Subbed out veal for an extra half pound of ground beef and sausage for ease of purchase at the store. (Meat prices pretty brutal out here)

It isn't actually hulless, it is an industry term for smaller kernel popcorns which tend to have more tender hulls. Relevant to the current discussion, they break up more and are less likely to get stuck in your teeth. Apparently they can be easier to digest as well. The thing most people don't realize about corn in general is there are thousands of varieties and each of them actually tastes very different. Most major brand popcorn is grown for size of the kernel, and therefore the size of the popped corn. Kind of like those enormous, but flavorless, beefsteak tomatoes. The "gourmet" varieties are smaller, just like heirloom tomatoes, but each type has a different flavor. Like the fiery garnet literally tastes like it already has butter on it. Petite princess amber has this really subtle sweetness that I am very fond of. Etc.

I dun goofed bros. I cooked a 10 lb bone in boston butt yesterday. I figured 10 hours on low in a slow cooker would suffice, I was wrong. And while it was cooked through it wasn't in long enough for the connective tissue to break down and I couldn't pull it, and I made a mess of the meat trying to pull it at first so I couldn't even really put it back in to cook longer. Plus I was starving.

It was still good, I cut it into hunks and did a quick sear but I was salty about it.

Yeah, I think I did 10 hours on a 5 lb one and it came out perfectly. Gotta be at least another couple hours for 10 lbs, I guess? That's a big ass roast for a single dude! Pulled pork all week.

Yeah I didn't realize quite how much meat it was. I'll just have to use it to seduce women. That should work right?

A double oven sounds nice but I'm rarely ever wanting to bake two things at once at two different temperatures. This is often a Thanksgiving-only problem. Also a bigger problem: having a kitchen configuration for a double oven.

We looked at double wall ovens when we remodeled, didn't think we would use both very often so went stacked microwave and oven instead
