Yep, that's the place. By the way, Weber's charcoal chimney is leaps and bounds better than any other chimney I've used. I've had it 5 seasons now, and still holding strong. I think it was about $15 a Lowe's.

Don't waste your money on the Looftlighter. Just buya regular heat gunfor $20. It will do the same thing. I have one that I use for melting heat shrink and I have used it to light my charcoal.

Holy shit those are expensive. Good stuff. Post pics of your finished kitchen when you're done!

If I had my choice of those, I'd go with the Thermador. Better reviews, nicer looking, and somewhat more simple. Less things to go wrong. However, any of those three would be nice.

Have you looked at the viking series?

I have looked at the Viking, and they are receiving quite a bit of negative reviews and a few of the local service techs around here say they have had a lot of issues with them.

what's your current wok setup atm?
No formal wok setup now, just the standard electric coil burners. We are getting a gas line ran across the house for this and the outdoor grilling area as part of this remodel we are doing.

We're about to do a kitchen remodel and my wife is pushing me to make a hole in the counter for a sous vide vessel. I'm a lucky guy.

I wouldn't put a permanent feature in your living room for a cooking fad. In 10 years that thing is going to be like people who put a disco ball in their living room in the 70s.

It's been around for over 40 years and is just now affordable in the home. If you enjoy cooking, it's a very useful tool. I don't see it as a fad at all.

EDIT: That being said, I don't think I would dedicate a feature in my new kitchen to it.

That's exactly what it is. Professional cooking technique that has finally made it's way into an affordable home use appliance.

what're you guys doing for your sous vide storage? i know a few of you use the big plastic tubs w/ the anova. Since i use my crockpot i can justify leaving it out on the countertop, but i like my countertop relatively free, so i even put away my kitchenaid and panini press.
