Haha it tasted too good to make it over night in the freezer. In the show he put his over night in the freezer and it didnt appear to be a icecube when he served it the next day.So if you put that stuff in the freezer is it still ice cream the next day or does it turn into a big ice cube? I love homemade ice cream but all of it that I have ever had you pretty much had to eat right away. Alton implied that with his you could actually freeze it though.
I was so happy when I heard this. I'm curious what he meant by saying that they were going to do things you couldn't get away with on TV. Fuck whatever that reality tv bullshit he is doing on the Food Network though. On Alton Brown's podcast he mentioned that he is reworking his youtube channel into basically an online webcast of Good Eats. Shit sounds awesome. He said it is coming soon.
I assume you have a pizza stone? Just make the pizza on a piece of parchment paper and drag it onto the hot stone from the counter. After a couple minutes in the oven you can just pull the paper out from under it.![]()

I finally got around to trying his pizza dough for some homemade pizza. It wasn't until I had the dough rested and ready that I realized I don't have a pizza peel. Imagine me trying to get an uncooked pizza into the oven with my hands at 500 degrees with toppings and shit on it. Yeah... that was a failure. Learning experience I guess. I tried to fashion a peel for the second pizza using a couple of silicon cutting boards I have. Yeah... just not good.
On the upside, the crust tasted amazing. On the downside, I now have to clean burned pepperoni and cheese out of my oven and almost no toppings actually survived onto the pizza. It was a goddamn mess.
