I am making fried pork tenderloin sammiches today. Never had it before but I kept searching for recipes to cook this tenderloin I have sitting here and it kept coming up, so we're giving it a shot. Will report back

I can't find duck in my shitty one horse town.

You'd think with all these farmers around ...

Ive been growing my own microgreens lately. Mostly Arugula, asian greens, cilantro, different mixes but primarily brassicas and such.

They are ridiculously good on almost anything and easy to grow. Also they have up to 40x more nutrients than adult versions of the plants. I just drop them on everything from eggs to burgers to tacos to pizza to salads to

I grow them indoors without soil and get about 4lbs from 2oz of greens every 10-20 days depending on what I feel like growing. Its just a 1x2 tray, no soil used, and doesn't need much sun. You can get about 30-40 trays per lb of seed.

Basically, fresh grown, super nutritious, low effort, cheap food. If you want to try something different, or want to grow your own stuff... give them a shot. I can help point anyone in the right direction if they want to try it.

Good stuff

I was just about to bitch at you for not posting instructions after you said it was easy. You came through, thanks! Any suggestions on what you personally use, seed brand etc?

Do they grow back if you snip them above the roots, or do you need to replant?

You wash them right? Or am I thinking of something else that needs to be thoroughly cleaned before eating?

I wash all produce/plants, before eating. I'm not sure if you have to wash those, though.

Well if you grow them in the house, why would you wash them? Unless your cat is pissing on them or some shit, lol. Only thing I could see is some dust that you breathe in every day anyway.

Fair enough. I don't grow any plants in my house. Still, they are in dirt regardless, so I usually rinse them.

no need to wash them except to clear off the seed husks that sometimes stay on top. But it doesnt hurt to do it, especially if you blanche them, it has a really nice effect.

What plant am I thinking of that ends up with salmonella or something equally bad?

Any veg or fruit that uses the same water source as livestock is at risk. Seriously though, wash your shit you buy in store because there is always a good chance it has mouse or rat piss on it. I have a black light in my kitchen that I use to tell.
