Yea, you're so probably used to dull edges, you were basically chopping with force rather than just rocking.

I made some badass fried potatoes and onions this past weekend and didn't even cut off a finger. Queue the music....

I steam mine in foil with bbq sauce at a low heat, 250F, for a few, 3-4 hours. Then I turn up the heat, unwrap the foil, and bake/caramelize them.

That Gordon Ramsay Youtube channel is amazing if you've got the basic ideas behind good cooking down. A little too fast paced and "how do I do that exactly" if you don't.

So I've been experimenting with making a really good honey roasted sauce. I think I've about got it.

1/2 cup mayo
1/8 cup traditional mustard
1/8 cup dijon mustard (grey poupon preferred)
1 tablespoon honey (use 2 tbs if you like it more sweet/tangy)
1/4 cup bbq sause (Experiment here - I personally like rudy's for this, but you might need to try a few to get right)
1/2 teaspoon tony chachere's creole seasoning (use 1 if you need it more salty)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper

a small pinch or two of old bay - looking for a very very faint hint here.

Dinner should be served around 6:30 PM EST. I need someone to bring the coleslaw. I'll be making the mac and cheese. And by that I mean Kraft Dinner box.

If I was more of a man I'd make beans.

You can make ghetto beans that will probably still impress in a short time frame. Get a couple of cans of "Ranch Style" beans, and rinse them in a colander. Toss them in a pot with some diced up uncooked bacon, some onions/garlic/chilis, add whatever seasoning you want (I would say oregano/red chili flakes/garlic powder/black pepper) and then salt to taste. Heat over a low flame and if you want a thicker/pastier bean dish, add some stock of some kind (chicken stock works well for this, though pork would most definitely fit the flavor profile more) and work it in (don't mash that shit, the beans will be soft already) until it starts to bubble. Kill the heat, cap and put aside. When it gets near service time, super low flame and just stir and serve.

I'm making those beans!

Edit: Those beans you have Garlic and Garlic Powder, do I need to use both or did you add both for a specific reason?

We're doing a trial campout run tomorrow night in the back yard bros. Hot dogs, brats, corn on the cob, baked beans, cole slaw, smores with the biggest fucking marshmallows you have ever seen, it shall be glorious. I am thinking probably this cole slaw:Kitchen Riffs: Pepper Coleslaw with Garlic Vinaigrette
Coleslaw while camping? You looking to get sick? Trail food, man, not mayo!

Hope it goes well.
