Heh.. I can't even get that info, and I work 50' from the H1Z1 team. It'll come when they think it's ready. We need a date for the Alpha pronto...
Mind dropping an anonymous letter in Smed's inbox saying to stop embarrassing himself and his team with the ridiclous launch dates he seems to like to spout off about? As a fan of SOEs products, this is getting really annoying. Just keep your mouth shut until you have a more concrete idea of what's going on.Heh.. I can't even get that info, and I work 50' from the H1Z1 team. It'll come when they think it's ready.
A Stalker theme would be best with player groups competing over standard resources as well as artifacts that randomly spawn in dangerous areas.Yea I wish this had a Fallout theme instead of zombies. Otherwise sounds good, has many EVE-ish elements apparently. I'll probably pony up the early access fee.
Yes, just have a PvE crafting lovefest....You can dress it up and color it how ever you want.
Add open gank pvp Dayz style, and that becomes your game; Quake deathmatch. Period
You can add as many gimmicks as you like, none of that shit matters. It'll never beat a human player, and they become the meta. You'll be gearing and doing everything to fight other players.
And once again like in every other fucking open pvp game, from Mortal Online, Darkfall, DayZ, you'll have another glorified deathmatch arena.
No thank you. I walk outside and trip over games that provide that already (Planetside 2 included).
I tried a Barb Shammie before settling on a WE Druid and found the lighting requirements for a human class awesome. Needing a light source to be able to realistically get through the tunnel dividing EF and BB was a big deal and it felt like an accomplishment to get through to BB finally.Darkness, and dealing with its effects, were absolutely critical to my 'new player experience'.
Having to secure light sources for safe travel was not a denial of service, it was an enhancement of it.
That dark line of trees when I entered EC is forever burned in my memory. Running from inn to inn for safety, seeing others congregated there taking advantage of the light they gave off... Taking the raft from Halas into the dark newbie tunnel, then emerging into the twisting Everfrost peaks. The anxiety I felt in that moment was a direct result of the use of darkness. That emotional connection, the fear I felt, was the reason I became attached to that character, that setting, and ultimately the game itself.
Having played both DayZ and DF, Creslin is on the ball. For all the fantasy setting, DF was essentially little different than an FPS (At least at launch, never played it's relaunch). If you haven't played DayZ you have no earthly clue how this game would or should work.
Watching the stream recording now. The UI looks pretty slick now. It's funny they had to name the character TwitchNoPK.
What is there hold up on a release date for the alpha buy-in? They went from 4-weeks to silent. I'm not surprised it was pushed back but wish they would give us something tentative.Watching the stream recording now. The UI looks pretty slick now. I really hate the graphic filter or whatever they use at night where everything seems to just become black and white.
What's the feel from the team? They liking what they're doing or are they frustrated? Just curious if there is some excitement brewing in whatever closet they're locked in. It looks like a small team just having a good time and sometimes you get good stuff out of those situations.Heh.. I can't even get that info, and I work 50' from the H1Z1 team.
