Not sure if this will work for the remotes since I haven't tried it. I remember looking this up when I thought I'd have multiple LGs in the same room:

I know this is a little old, but I spent ages trying to figure this out and finally got it. I have 2 of the 4k LG tvs and I’m using the remotes that came with it. Here’s what you want to do in order to separate them between the 2 tvs:

-Hold the home (house looking) button and the back (curved arrow) button together for 5 seconds. The power button will blink red and the tvs should say something about the remotes being disconnected. Note, do not block either tv until after this step. You want the remote to disconnect from both. You could just disconnect it from one and it should work that way too I suppose

-Block the receiver of the tv that you don’t want that remote connecting to. You can start over and do it as many times as you want so no stress

-Hit the ok button (ridged button in the middle of the round part). If you did it right, the tv you’re trying to connect to will say that it’s connecting while the other one won’t

-Do the same with the other remote except block the other tv

The color app if I remember right I installed as a service but yeah, it won't turn on the TV until windows is loaded. Not sure about setting it as monitor 2 though, I never had to do that (dual monitors or something?).

Yea. Also I'm not sure how that remote thing works. I literally didn't even own this TV when the first two were synced to their TVs. It also happens with my Fire remote.

Anyone have a LG B4? Was about to buy one to replace the aging TCL in my bedroom and also upgrade to 65" at the same time, but I was watching the rtings review and it mentioned that the back of the TV feels "almost fabric-like". Does that mean I'm going to have a bad time trying to get LED strips to stick to the back for bias lighting? The room is pitch black with the door/blinds closed and I can't stand the eye strain I get from looking at a TV without light behind it, especially with games--and I suspect that a pure black OLED screen will be even worse for eye strain than a regular local-dimming backlit TV panel.

Could also get a C3, but rtings comparison seems to suggest that it's a sidegrade for movies and slightly worse for gaming. Although they do mention that the B4 currently has a bug which would prevent me from using Dolby Vision on my Series X, which is the #1 reason I'm replacing the TCL to begin with (broken DV, screen goes black every few seconds while using either Shield TV or Series X). I would assume that bug will be fixed for the B4 though since it sounds like it didn't happen with older firmware.

I think my OLED is the B2. The back is fairly normal metal type tv… didn’t know they are already up to 4.

But LG OLED or cheapest LG are the only 2 TV options now days

This is what the back looks like:

Also trying to figure out the exact width of the raised part where the electronics are, since it's a pain in the ass if the LED strip is longer (it's 4') than that is wide.

Why the hell do they ever go with the Y-legs. T-legs are a bit better but there's so many problems with not having a weighted center stand.

Cost. Plus I would have to assume the vast majority of people mount a TV like that on the wall. I certainly will, already have a mount installed there so it's just a matter of swapping out the VESA bracket which should take a few minutes tops.

yea it's like for 20years intel and amd had to include a shitty heatsink/fan

like i'm sure the majority of ppl would wall mount their tv but either they can't, they don't want to, lazy, poor, apt rules and i see so many videos where a tv just topples over, sometimes for a fucking cat

At what point is it worth upgrading your tv? I think my current one is maybe 5-7 years old. Works fine. 🤷‍♂️

Depends what you want out of it. I think the biggest issue out there is smart TVs that stop getting updates and even though they work as a screen, they get difficult to use/get to content. Can use a fire stick or something like that sometimes to bypass it. Otherwise it's picture quality I guess. I have yet to actively replace a TV, because they end up breaking at some point (physically or otherwise) for me. *shrug*

I’ve always used Apple TV or Roku so not getting updates was never an issue for me. Never used built in apps as they always seemed subpar to Roku or Apple tv

The LG in the living room , we were using their 'web os' , whatever blue hair trans lgbtq+ faggot 'programmed' that mess of an OS needs to be shot, then set on fire. Slow as interface, works half the time, updates are a chore (despite having 'stay up to date' checked). Lost track of the number of times I've had to track down the made up LG account info just to check an updated policy push.
Went to the Shield and never looked back. It's 4k, does HDR and makes the wife happy. It's 6 years old and I'm keeping it until it catches on fire.

LG bought WebOS from HP, who got it when they bought the remnants of Palm. It was the OS for the Palm Pre way back when.

In general, the OS on smart TVs either are shit out of the box, or eventually turn to shit over time due to the hardware being the cheapest shit that will run it. A separate box (Shield, Fire Stick, Apple TV, etc) is almost always better in the long run.

We've been 100% satisfied with our Roku Pro 65". Not having to use the stick or dongle has made the interface more responsive. For a living room TV for the family, kids to use, do some gaming on the PS5, it is great. The only bug we've seen so far is that the remote was going through this constantly repairing process which was killing the battery. But that cleared up after a couple of days. TV wise no issues at all.

Snagged a 65" LG C4 as the price was just too good to pass up. I was on the fence and initially planned to grab a Samsung S90D but too many reports of "panel lottery" TV's for my comfort. You either get one that works great or one that is a nightmare. 50/50. Honestly no regrets on the C4 it looks fantastic and I like the remote better anyway. Now to get a decent sound system to pair it with.

I like this soundbar because it matches the size & shape of my TV.

PS - Italian Ices rule. That's what we give the kids for desert. The box just sits there until we're ready to freeze more. Fuck Otter pops, these are so much better.

If anyone wants to impress the hell out of their kid(s) for Christmas, this TV is bonkers for the price ($350.) Was watching movies and playing games with my nieces and nephews over Thanksgiving and my cousin had one of these in the game room (which is also a full bar even though he lets his kids play down there. very sus.) I couldn't believe it wasn't a $1200 TV, looked really fucking nice and I am super picky about other peoples' TV choices.

yea i was just over a friends house that had a full bar in the basement "family room" and we moved the switch down there for the kids to play. it was nice for thxgiving when the kids were done eating, just send em downstairs and we chat in the living room (where the switch used to be)

nothing sus about it, theres also a pool table downstairs
