If you're using Roku on all the TVs anyways, I see no reason to not just get a Roku TV. Our 75" in the living room has been perfect and we were already using Roku dongles so it made sense to just go native.

You can get a Roku smart TV. They are basically identical to what you are doing with your Roku, you can pick what is and isn’t on there.

If you are looking for a consumer-class product, basically all are smart these days, yes. Commercial displays typically have longer duty cycles than consumer class TVs, though reviews will probably be harder to come by. Should still be able to hook up a Roku, Apple TV, or whatever if you want "smart" type functionality.

I would get a good device to plug into a TV, like a Shield, Roku, or Apple TV, and not concern myself with the TV's smart functions at all. Even good TVs are built with the cheapest SoC they can get away with to run the OS and it will usually run like shit after a few years of updates. That way you can just get the best hardware for the dollar and never concern yourself about the TV OS.

I use an Apple TV now and never use my LGs built in apps for anything.

I have a curved LG OLED and it's awesome. Would absolutely buy another curved tv, you don't even notice it's curved from the front and the viewing angle is so much better from everywhere else. It seems the curved thing died out though unfortunately.

That seems backwards to me. At a distance it would narrow your viewing angle as the closer side of the tv is now being seen at a larger angle if you are off center. Granted, the far side would be at a better angle, but you would still get a to a bad angle faster with curved. I get curved ultrawide monitors for immersion when you're close to them, but curved monitors/TVs just baffle me. Always seemed like a gimmick to use to increase the price.

It's not though. The slight curve let's you see from the sides far better. The problem with a monitor is you are right up in front of it.
