The kid, which works for recycling on the weekends, found a pair of Bose bookshelf studio monitors. Pretty nice shape as well. It pains me to see shit like this tossed. ITs like WTF? So anyway he bought himself a Fosi BT30 for like $90 and hooked them up to the computer. Then like a week later he found himself a 10 powered Sony sub. Full sound system for $90.

Anyone have a good headphone recommendation for the gym? Seems like a decent chance at a sale item.

Depends on how much you want to hear the shitty gym music. Normally $130, now $90. Steal at this price

The SE version is $100 and appears to be the same thing, just in black. Any reason not to go for that version?

Nope. You're paying for the color. They are only sold at Amazon if I remember. Hence the markup.

I still have not pulled the trigger on speakers for my new setup. Any thoughts on these? I am looking for Black Speakers with White Trim and/or White Highlights if that makes sense. And these might be closer to silver than white.

I own the hs8s and I love them, I think listening through these definitely enabled me to make tighter mixes. I also have the sub though and have never used them without that.

After going back and forth on a couple different speaker choices I finally pulled the trigger the YU6s

good purchase.
you might find that the YU6 are a bit too much for your 8x11 room.

my office is 10x15'. and the YU4 speakers + 8" sub rarely go over quarter volume before they become too loud to enjoy.

Yeah, it was only a $70 difference and the decision was made based more on aesthetics. My desk top is 8' x 3' I feared the YU4s would look tiny and out of place.

I got the YU6s for my desk also. I just use them on low because they can thump if you really want.
