I've tried weed over the past year and it just knocks me on my ass and makes me useless, even when smoking a tiny amount. I can't bring myself to do anything other than watch TV and eat. I need to try out oils but eh... effort.

Tried caffeine with it?

I drink two cups when I get up, but I haven't tried it at the same time as the weed. I doubt it would have any effect though, as this is a spaced-out condition where time itself seems unstable and half of my focus is spent on how I didn't notice the previous moments passing. (being stoned)

Well fuck. Had that CT scan today, and the doctor looked at it ASAP instead of waiting for radiology since I've been complaining of so much pain. And turns out I was just being hopeful when I thought it was from something other than my cancer.

She's taking me off of the immunotherapy I've been doing since June, and probably putting me on a new type of chemotherapy in a couple weeks. Still a bit more poking and prodding to do before we decide for sure what's going to happen.

Also a chance of a different immunotherapy clinical trial but I get the feeling that's a probably not.

This new type of chemotherapy has 10-15% chance of curing me. Odds are it's just going to buy me more time.

Fuck fuck fuck fuck.

I was feeling really hopeful that things were getting better, guess I've been lying to myself for awhile.

That blows dude. Here's hoping the RL-RNG gods smile upon you.

A chemo buddy of mine used to have to use some sort of large back pad to help with her back pain. She said it helped considerably. Might be something to look into.

Some sort of heated pad?

Some sort of heated pad?

I'm not sure if it was heated, but it was pretty much just a giant lumbar support pillow that was as big as her torso. The problem she was facing was that everywhere she'd go (including treatments) always had shitty seating, and so she brought it with her to alleviate some of the pain.

I work some days that extend to 16 hours where I need the mental focus. When the caffeine runs out I can get Brain Fog.
Not anymore. sukik sukik told me about this nutritionist on Rogans podcast so I picked this up.

Shit is legit I feel like I got laser focus now. I like Jarrows for all my stuff but I guess brand doesn’t matter. No neg side effects that I can tell.

My dad's been in rough shape for awhile. He was diagnosed type 2 diabetic maybe 20 years ago. Somewhere in the last 5 or so years we found out his doctor wanted him on insulin, he refused, bought metformin online (and only metformin) and has just been self medicating. I'm type 2 as well so you can't really pull shit over my eyes like other people.

Anyways two years ago he tells me work has been wreaking havoc on his legs and they're numb all the time. I tell him to go to the doctor, which h fell on deaf ears. Then a few months ago he got really sick with an intestinal thing. He actually was rushed to the ER and spent 4 days in the hospital. He won't tell us what it is, but claims the sickness sent his blood sugar through the roof. Aunt tells me the doctors ask what he's on and tell him to throw it out and start some new meds. Last week he eats at BK and his left arm goes numb And lips swell up. Couldn't even hit his blinker driving. Tells us he's fine. Sounds like not fine to me. End result is they immediately stop his meds and he's on an insulin pump now.

He's only 60 but I'm not sure why he's so stubborn. I'm not afraid of people dying but I am terrified of having to explain it to my small kids. Especially my 3.5 year old who loves the dude.

Guy has never taken care of himself, but he's never really been bad about shit either. Eats normal food, drinks water, just never exercises or eats healthy. Makes me a little more serious about my own health.

Then I've got a shitty situation of my own brewing. I debated not posting this, but fuck it. Last couple months I've been having some boner problems. It came on extremely suddenly and it's weird to me. Everything feels good, I still have the same sex drive... They're just... Not as firm and the blood seems to leave them quick if we aren't moving. It's probably early onset ED but I'm trying some supplement and eating clean/exercising to see if I can reverse it. If not I'll have to have that shameful talk with the doc.

Step 1: Learn from your dad's mistakes and *always* talk to your doctor first thing. Also let your doctor know you have a family history of diabetes, since it is hereditary. Blood flow problems are one of the hallmarks of it, including to the penis.

Some people aren't built to face the amount of stress that comes from talking to medical professionals when they know something is wrong. It's very easy to just avoid that stress altogether by just avoiding it. My mother did the same thing, and likely died several years early because of it.

As for the dick problems, no doctor is going to see it as a shameful thing. It's incredibly common. They spend their days sticking their fingers up peoples assholes and dealing with a myriad of other absurd situations. Just be upfront and plain about it. The shame that you feel about it will diminish considerably. I haven't had to deal with any sort of ED, but I felt much the same about getting the old pooper checked out when I started having symptoms, and all of the shame and worry about the situation evaporated real quick after the initial shock of the exam wore off.

Any general changes to your diet in the last few months?

About 10 years ago or more now I used to help guys out with wood in college. Viagra, Cialis and the like.

I had more than 1 customer-- and can assure you there is nothing to be ashamed about. There are many causes of ED. Identifying the cause save for massive weight loss or SSRIs would likely do nothing to change your situation. Plenty of herbal options too. I wouldn't sweat it too much.

There were a whole lot of kids in NYC and Boston suffering from dysfunction in the 18-23 bracket.

Noodle, are you on any antidepressants by chance? We could also get that one black dude to sell you some ROCK HARD for a crazy weekend.

Or you could get a gay guy (me) to suck your cock because my saliva causes blood to pool and engorge meats. Unfortunately, it does come with a side effect of a hematoma or worse, a clot. But, you will have one hell of an orgasm. ;-)

I've been eating better and stopped drinking soda completely, both which should've done the opposite.

Moon, my doctor knows I'm diabetic

Great, now do the ED talk with him and get his input, and maybe some help. That is literally what he is there for.

Idk, caffeine and sugar both increase my sex drive.

Did you switch to drinking some other caffeine source when you ditched the soda?

Not quite at the point where I think I need that stuff. I'm not afraid to talk to my doc about it, I just don't want to jump to conclusions before trying anything. I could lose weight so I'll work on that. Trying some l-arginine and horny goat weed too.

Not on antidepressants, never have been thankfully.

If that's what it takes... Well, you've seen my penis so I guess you know what you're getting into

Sex drive really isn't a problem. My sex drive is still exactly the same. I'm trying not to drink any caffeine but after the first week headaches I've felt better from doing it. It didn't really line up with this problem though
