Definitely not. Summon random seems like just that. Additionally you get other class's cards.Class cards I think have 400% weight increase in discover, I'm not sure in "summon random" though.
I thought 5 armor was worth ~1.5 mana. Bash is 3 damage and 3 armor, the damage component is easily worth 2, so 3 armor is 1 mana.Shieldmaiden same stats/cost and give 5 armor which is worth just under 3 mana. This minion summons a 3 mana minion which will almost always be worth 3, and provides tempo. Seems really really strong, especially for a damn common. Worst cards to get would be like Magma Rager or Edwin/Druid of the Flame (2/2s).
Plenty of decent 3 cost legends, 4/2s and other good shit at the 3 slot.
Made it to rank 5 already, made a couple of changes. The sorc's apprentices were doing nothing in this variation so I took them out, replaced one with a flame juggler. Replaced 1 arcane intellect w/ forgotten torch, which has surprisingly turned out better than anticipated, great card for either pushing more damage or removing a minion off the board and since you usually go through the majority of your deck you often get a 3 mana fireball later for more face damage. And I replaced 1 flame cannon for arcane explosion. Arcane explosion just does so much work against zoo and pally and it can be a great way to clear the board often times w/ a flamewaker. The last card I added, since I took out both apprentice's is polymorph:boar. There have been times where I thought about removing it because it can often sit in hand and its actually usually used as a finisher so I thought about just replacing it w/ another torch since that could be used as removal or a finisher, but the polymorph does come in handy every once in awhile.So if you're running into a lot of zoo/paladin/tempo mage (who isn't amirite?). I've been working on mage lately to get golden, I was playing a tempo deck, but more mid-range before switching to this more aggro variant and won 7-8 in a row now.

Yea i was looking at shield block and hero power and taking a middle ground. Card draw is worth 1 or 1.5 depending who you ask. So it's under 3 mana for sure. Could be under 2. Hero power is always over costed and class cards usually have more value so kinda in middle somewhereNot nitpicking just to nitpick, I always like these type of card comparisons. I was going to use Shield Block but the card draw makes it hairy since card draw's value isn't linear.
