Haha just won against a Nzoth Reno Pally by milling his Nzoth, Tirion and Cairne. Killed him easily even after he renoed.

The thing with this deck is no one expects it. I mulligan for the standard rogue spells and C'thun cards since Mill rogue is all about surviving the early game and when I drop the coldlight and start milling him, the opponent is like WTF deck is this?!

I tried Deathrattle Mill but it is difficult due to lack of heals and taunts. C'thun works a bit better because of Twin Emperor and if you don't draw your coldlights, then C'thun can act as a alternate win condition by shadowstepping/ Prep gangup on it. Brann works really well with coldlights as well as all of the battlecries the C'thun cards give to buff it really big.

Aggro decks are hard match up but winnable depending if I can draw C'thun quickly and surviving to turn 10 when it normally clears the board.

Make no mistake, it's just a fun deck and not meant to climb ladder quickly but it is a good counter to Nzoth pally, Priests, Freeze mage, Miracle Rogue (since you can vanish their stealthed minions and they draw a lot of cards with Auctioneer before realising you are mill).

Man, I'm pretty sure if you just spent a single day playing face Shaman from rank 5 you could hit legend in almost no time at all. It's just so strong

It's happened a few times. The easiest path for me was Secret Paladin. I could go 10+ game win streaks without breaking a sweat.

For last week or so I've only played Zoo...My rule was once a day until I lost...In the last 7 days I went from rank 6 to 4 stars into rank 2. I'm deciding whether I care enough to push to Legend in the next few...Or see if my steady rate continues with Zoo.

And like an idiot...I decide to try and drop 4 stars. Bah, should have been patient.

I got shifter Zerus in a pack today... not sure if I can find some way to have fun with it?

I've played with him in a few decks (think a deathrattle rogue and a weird mage deck I made that's like a cross between C'thun and tempo), he is a fun card!

New meta snapshot out today, which is always important since a pretty significant portion of the people on ladder rely on meta snapshot to tell them what to play. For once I feel like they really nailed it this time around. Not surprised to see aggro shaman fall out of tier 1, for all the explosiveness the deck is very inconsistent. Conversely, midrange shaman is super consistent, so it's no surprise to see it take the top spot. I'm also not surprised about N'Zoth pally plummeting from tier 1 to the bottom of tier 2. For all the healing, the deck comes out super slow and it's really easy to fall too far behind against the really aggressive rush decks. I saw Senfglas having a lot of success with a N'Zoth pally list specifically geared against aggro, but you're giving up a lot of your muscle in the control matchup to do so. Similarly not surprised to see miracle rogue fall out of tier 1, miracle is absolutely terrible against face decks.

My only real disagreement is their assessment of C'Thun warrior. I think C'Thun warrior is easily a mid tier 2 deck, and is probably better than conventional control warrior. You can easily tune C'Thun warrior for an aggro heavy meta without giving up much against other control decks.

Where do you go for the Meta snapshot?

How the hell do they think that miracle rogue is a favorable match-up vs control warrior?

Also you can check something like thisvS Data Reaper Report #2 - Vicious Syndicate (vS)which doesn't list the decks in terms of strength but tells you their occurrence rate, which is actually more useful for me.
Because it is? Control warrior gets absolutely wrecked by conceal, and with death's bite gone has a lot more trouble efficiently answering pillagers and drakes.

Here's my latest C'thun warrior list.

Warrior - Deckbuilder - HearthPwn

Beckoners suck, but they're better than chosen against aggro. The king's defender is just there as a third fiery war axe, and once in a blue moon you get the extra durability. I want two bashes, but I want two bloodhoof braves even more, and there really isn't much wiggle room with a cthun war list. I'd love to cut doomcaller, but you really can't win in control matches without either Elise or doomcaller. Cut Sylvanas for Thaurissan because it lets you set up some crazy Brann combos, and against aggro decks he's pretty much also a taunt. Shield blocks went out for slams because in a pinch, slams can be used as crappy removal, and you can intentionally not cycle them in matches you think will go to fatigue. Essentially, I set the list up to work better against aggro without giving up too much against control.

Not sold on the Defender or Bashes myself but if it's working for ya then great! Still, I also like to find room for Sylv and/or Harrison in this meta.

I do agree that C'Thun War outperforms T-3 from my results either way, although it's not a regular in my rotation.

Emperor used to be Sylvanas til I saw vlps running him, so I gave him a try. Sylvanas high value but is also pretty easy to play around or just ignore in an aggro heavy environment. If an aggro player tries to ignore Thaurissan, you can usually punish the hell out of them, whereas if they ignore Sylvanas it's frequently the case that you won't have any way to force Sylvanas to die. The defender could just as easily be another bash, but even without the battlecry it's nice having a third war axe. On those rare occasions where I get the extra swing, it's a lot of value. As for bash, it really speaks for itself in this meta. Popping mana tides and flametongues past taunts, killing kor'krons and damaged frothings without taking face damage, and while it may not cycle, it works with execute which block does not.

Harrison is the only thing I don't have in the list that I'd like to find room for.
