Pretty sure just 1, but the rewards look to be on steroids. So you pay the equiv of what 10 packs cost but if you get 12 wins you get 50 packs, some gold legendaries, 1k gold, and whatever the fuck else (according to their posted image).

Wonder what the guaranteed minimum is. I foresee many salty tears about 10 dollars spent on 100 dust or some such.

Watch it be false advertising and you only get 1 of those 4 scenarios.. like Just 50 packs + 100 gold/dust, or a golden legendary + 100 gold/dust, etc.

Brode said the minimum for going 0-3 is 1 pack. So yeah, super top-heavy prizes.

edit: Missed by a second!

You can participate in Heroic Brawl for a limited amount of completed runs.

Even in a constructed format I'm damn sure not paying 10 bucks for a single run.

I took that as saying you can only enter a certain number of times, so as to prevent the top end players from accumulating mass wealth.
If it's multiple runs for 1k gold then ok, just didn't sound like it was that way.

What is not clear is whether it will be multiple runs at the same tavern brawl, or different tavern brawls with the same deck.

You think you know salt? Just wait until you drop 1k gold and then lose to your deck's counter 3 times in a row.

so 6.5 wins is breakeven on gold value if you assume 1k gold = 10 packs.
7 wins is slightly ahead

8+ is where you get huge gains,
8win: +2 packs
9win: +10 packs
Golden Legendaries at 10+ is really awesome and rewards at 12 is insane.

I don't understand the point here.. The players that have a decent shot of getting 12 wins, which is who this seems geared for, don't need the rewards that much. The golden legendaries, maybe, but most of the rest aren't all that important to people like amaz, reynad, etc..

Even those players have a fair shot of losing 3 games in any given 10 games. The high risk/high reward they think the competitive players want is more about recognition. High end arena players want a leaderboard. High end constructed players want exposure for their streams, money from tournaments, etc.. I highly doubt most of those players need gold/dust all that much. I see them sitting on 10k+ gold on their main accounts quite regularly.

I foresee that this should be renamed 'Mid Range Shaman Brawl' instead.

No thanks.

This is really going to put even more of a spotlight on shitty rng mechanics. The salt will flow 20x when people actually have higher stakes and a 10$ investment and get blown out by yogg and barnes.

There has to be an different reason for this move outside of hearthstone and I bet it has to do with the new streaming feature.
