Has Blizzard given a good reason why deck lists have been made public this year?

Yup, was coming to post the same thing. Amnesiac said he was surprised pavel banned his shaman and it wasn't even his 2nd strongest deck. I guarantee you shaman would have picked up 1 win in 4 chances, unlike druid.

I think this expansion is going to have some kind of neutral class cards, like maybe they can used by multiple classes. They changed ethereal peddler's wording and said it was to make it work better with future cards.
So, for example, a spell/minion that can be used by Rogue, mage and warrior, and it's 'class' is 'steamweedle cartel' or something like that.
Nailed it.

Priests look pretty fucking solid so far in this expansion

Meanwhile, my favourite class - Rogue, got a shittier innervate

Ffs Blizz. Stop making us play Miracle Rogue for all of eternity.

I dunno, the Priest stuff revealed is pretty good. It's almost all instantly playable without thought

Sorry, the politics thread has brought out my inner troll and then proceeded to feed it a diet of raw pork, meth, and gunpowder.

I may need to attend some sort of 12 step program after the election :(

Is that counterfeit coin just a normal card you can put in your deck or is it created by another card?
If it's a regular card, I'm having trouble deciding if some kind of rogue deck would play it. It could be good for rogue in arena if they consistently had access to combo cards, but with the card pool getting so big that's not always true. In constructed, the first few turns don't matter a ton for most matchups, so you dont need to rush something out.

Also, that drakonid operative (5 mana, 5/6, if you are holding a dragon, discover a card in your opponents deck) seems really fun for arena. Getting the info on a few cards in their deck to play around, plus the card advantage, just seems great. Plus, a 5/6 for 5 is good enough on it's own.

But, I'm most looking forward to reno-kazakus-dragon control priest decks running dragonfire potion as their lightbomb. How long until the old sets rotate out of standard?

Hearthpwn doesn't categorize the tri-class cards accurately.
Reddit does:

The main thing I look for when they are releasing these cards is:

Does it beat a Mid Range Shaman deck

The only card that I can see can counter Mid Range Shaman at the moment is this one:

But even that might be a bit too slow since by turn 6, you would have taken quite a bit of damage. I dunno, Mid Range Shaman might go down in power since I can see this card being a staple in all Priest decks and I can see Control Priest being a popular deck when the expansion hits.

Cards like Kun are cool but when games are decided by turn 7-8 and you don't even get to live to turn 10 to play them then it will just become a niche. Just like other cool but niche cards like Varian, Paletress, Aviana etc.

Maybe this card will help against aggro too

Every time people say that aggro is going to die and control decks will dominate, it always turns out to not be the case. I'm not optimistic really.

Edit: Oh I forgot to say, Dragonfire Potion destroys Miracle Rogue too because it will kill a concealed Auctioneer.

RIP Rogues. FFS.

Yea, I am doubtful that control starts dominating based on the cards spoiled so far. But, if these are any indicator, Blizzard might be trying to push that strategy and they will get even more stuff. Who knows?

However, even if shaman is still the best, I think it may be a little more balanced between the classes. i.e. a more diverse meta. Just on the basis of a larger card pool, more classes should be viable. If all they do is improve priest, that would help dramatically in that regard.

That's a pretty good control card.

Doesn't really trade with anything good though. Everything has 3 or more toughness nowadays.

It trades with a lot of stuff tbh, sure it doesn't trade with anything 3mana or more, but it's a 1mana card so like, yeah, duh. It trades with tokens, totems, most 1 and 2 meta drops. And it heals for 4. That's actually really good.

Well by this point you should realize aggro won't die. you should also realize aggro isn't the main complaint. it's decision making. RNG and tempo are too prevalent. i lump tempo in because drawing cards on curve is also some RNG.

The new cards seem mostly decent so far but too hard to say if they'll fix the underlying atm
