The mage card looks pretty nice, expensive but nice combo card with the new 10mana potion, maybe even pyroblast, or like turn 7 drop a 5/5 AND board clear with a flamestrike, massive swing. Main issue I guess is you have to play a reno-like deck while most mage decks kinda want the 2 frostbolts 2fireballs and 2copies of a bunch of other stuff like mana wyrm, arcane intellect, babbling book and what not.

The rotation drops anything not released in the current or prior year. So LoE was released in 2015 but it was the last addition for that year so yeah its not been around as long.

I don't remember that conversation but yea, Standard doesn't rotate out till 1st Expac in 2017 is released.

Standard format or Standard is one of Hearthstone's two game formats. Games played in Standard format include only cards from card sets released in the current or previous calendar year, as well as the Basic and Classic sets.

So all 2015 and 2016 sets can be used right now since the current year is 2016.

The devs said rotations would be initiated upon 1st expansion release of the new year. So my prediction is next expansion is April 2017.
That's 5.5 more months of LoE.

If it counts as a potion discovered from the Chemist then there better be a bunch more secret potions to come or it will be way too easy to check for against priest/lock. Its great if your opponent has a late game hand, but if they have any smaller minion to check then its strictly worse than Mirror Entity.

its not worse than mirror. This nullifies doomsayer / emperor / any other "end of game" ticks. I assume it triggers after battlecry, but if it triggers first then that's even better. Also nullifies deathrattles completely. Mirror is worse in that you get a copy but it's normally picked off before you get to use it, also doomsayer fucks you and it doesn't cancel out emp/malygos/whatever

If secrets do make their way back into mage then you could try Mirror --> Poly and you get a copy of their minion and then their minion becomes a sheep.

Secrets will probably be too slow but grabbing off "random spell" minions will still be ok.

One downside is you can test for both secrets the same way, by playing some garbage fodder minion and see if it pops a secret. Still seems kinda nice but doubt it'll see play, but it's not too bad as a secret to draw from a random mage spell pick or whatever. In most situations, it's like a way way better snipe and a better mirror image.

Got the murlocalypse quest so i put together a murloc paladin deck in casual just trying to spam murlocs out. Play against a netdeck control warrior and win. Then get friended and told to "go fuck yourself", it's the little moments that make this game great.

Also, heroic brawl is out. Save your gold for the expac... or don't.

That warlock murloc is good enough to possibly make murloc warlock a thing again.

Bomb squad its almost like a weaker moat lurker. The deathrattle may not always be as negative as moat lurker, but if I'm paying 5 mana for a 2/2 deal 5 damage I don't want to eat 5 damage either, both you want to evolve/silence and in that case you may as well play moat lurker.

Yeah, but imagine dropping that and a warleader, paying only 3 health for the warleader when you already have murlocs on the board.

Bomb Squad might actually see play in Control Decks, particularly Priest/Warrior. Maybe Paladin. Could see play in many Reno Decks too. I see it as a 5 damage spell, which is hard to obtain for many classes other than Mage, and you get the body on board.

Or i can drop a warleader by itself and have a card worth a shit? What good 4/2 have ever existed? I dunno, seems less than average.
