Except you aren't frost tombing someone, you're just rooting them.

Not that I have a problem with buffing mages. There's still only what, 3 things in the game that can freeze a player? Frostbolt, Ice Lance, and Water Ele?

Usually get 6-3 in arena 80 % of time with average picks but man I got killed 0-3 this turn playing druid lol. Still fun though .

I hadn't really thought of the fact that Mages pretty much hold a monopoly on freezing. I'd be hesitant to buff a single class like that.

I just started playing in ranked matches today and so far I've only lost three games. Two of those times I played a hunter who used Unleash the Hounds to take a poop on my day. I think I'm at like a 90% win rate overall though.

The deck I've been using so far is a really cheap Warlock Murloc deck. It's fast and pretty fun to play.

Alternatively, I'm sitting on this for the lower ranks where I suspect my aggro style might be less tenable.

Mages are pretty terrible in constructed after the nerfs, which is why I said I wouldn't mind buffing them.

I think I just won a game because of an emote.

Playing against a priest in arena, I have a Venture Co, Secrete Keeper, Water Elemental (at 2hp) and Fen Creeper. He's frozen and at 12hp, has a 2/4 3/3 and 2/3 on the table and just hit 10 mana. Earlier in the game he had used Thoughtsteal. He used Pyroblast (1 off in my deck, I hadn't drawn it yet) on my Venture co. I'm emoted I'm sorry. He was then sitting there trying to figure out if he could trade into my Fen Creeper without clearing his board (which he couldn't). I think he assumed my I'm sorry meant I had Pyroblast in hand and had lethal lol. I had 3 cards, all bad, he had 6.

I've had that happen before. Someone will do a crazy play that I think is genuinely good to clear my board, and I'll emote "Well played" and they just leave, assuming I have lethal or something.

Been playing Reynad's TryHarder deck (Variant of the deck that he used to get to Legend as a "F2P" player). It's brutally effective and I've went from rank 18 to 14 in about an hour with very few losses. Games take like 5 minutes.

I love playing an arena where I draft nothing above rares against people with one or more legendaries. Fucking matching system is broken.

Deck contents have nothing to do with matching, it's based on matching up people with similar win records.

Very few legendaries are major bombs in arena, same with epics. Ragnaros, Ysera, Cairne sort of. Class specific legendaries are hit or miss, Cenarius, Tirion, and maybe King Krush are pretty huge. The quality of your deck is decided by what rares and commons you get. My best arena run was 11 wins with no epics or legendaries. I remember being able to answer a Tirion and a Ragnaros during that arena run.

Matchmaking is fine.

Honestly Epics seem to be the most worrisome most of the time. They tend to be the most powerful stuff without outside support. (or the most to gain from outside support)

But the wide range on RNG does feel off though.

The real 'problem' is class epics. Both druid ancients are huge in arena, all 3 pally class epics are great picks, earth ele and doomhammer for shaman, Gorehowl for warriors. Most of the neutral epics aren't that huge.

Giants are with appropriate support, well Sea and Molten at least. Supporting them with Divine Shield is very rude in most matchups or just having them in as a Priest period for getting them back up unless they're instakilled, etc.
