Rogue took a lot of hits since Nax and it hasn't really been given a good card to compensate. Tempo was already weak when miracle was dominant, so once miracle got nerfed enough to be unplayable rogue just vanished.

You can build a rogue deck which will beat zoo aggro like 90% of the time but you will lose to every midrange and control strategy. Or vice-versa.
He has very awkward curve with GvG, you have the barber, but at 2 mana he competes directly with your hero ability, so at best you must hope for going second, turn one coin+dagger, not kill the undertaker/flame imp/priestess and then add the barber and hope you are not too far behind or just coin him turn 1 and turn him into a raptor. Going first is even worse. But sometimes, when the stars align, you will murder somebody by turn 4-5 without even trying or win a game by poking somebody for 15-20 damage in a single turn thanks to eviscerates and oil, but you get fucked by anything with taunt.

If you run into a lot of zoo, midrange rogue with annoyotrons, arcane nullifiers, Cogmaster's wrenches, Jeeves and Sensei can be pretty fun.

Sometimes this game...

Got Paladin dominance, so I try and finish it, right? I went from rank 6 to rank 8 with zero wins. Facing mostly Warriors and a couple of Hunters. Why did I lose this favorable match up again and again? I never drew my 2x LoH and 2x Healbot in any of the matches. Versus one of the Warriors I had literally four cards left in my deck, i.e., all my heals, and died before I drew them. I didn't even get them in my mulligans. The odds of that are even smaller than the Kitkatz Sneed's.
Sounds super frustrating :/. So is Sneed's being used again? Or is that just in tournaments?

Just owned a Mage that played 5 Fireballs by turn 15 with this insane Paladin draft I have. Feels good.

8-0 with this Paladin and then a Priest Thoughtsteals 3 Consecrates and a Truesilver in the same turn as burning all 4 of my Consecrates, my Truesilver, 2 Aldor Peacekeepers, my Foe Reaper and a Sea Giant because of Fel Reaver. Never drafting that fucker again, I don't care if it's next to a Hungry Crab and a Junkbot. No idea why that piece of shit is rated so high, but anyone that thinks it's good is just plain wrong, don't care what the circumstances or the argument is!

Yeah, barber doesn't really seem like an early game card despite being a good two mana drop. I've been trying mostly mech tempo rather than the token tempo that some people are doing so I'd rather get warpers and other mechs and pull a barber later when I can more realistically use the battlecry. I got a golden sensei and I just like his emotes and the way he looks, but rogue has to be the worst class in the game right now.

I'm irrationally in love with Iron Sensei and its not really a great card.
I have this with Hobgolblin... I need to stop trying to make it work.

The win-more is just so fucking stronk when it *does* though!

EDIT: As an aside The Master, this is why I hate playing decks that are not either Hold or Zoo-ish. If you play a deck that doesn't get to see most of its cards then it is (not actually but seemingly) far too RNG. Over the long term it all works out but it is fucking frustrating! When I started playing Cancer variant I loved it simply because it is robust! If I **did** get the perfect open then the game is done but if not, I'm still likely live.

The math works shittily for decks that rely on tempo when you can get boned out of the gate. Well, the math is fine and you still might get your 55% or whatever but the losses are *so* much more painful.

I was watching during the first Sneeds to KT X2 match. My wife was giving me really funny looks because I was laughing so hard.

I have a feeling he's going to be appearing in a lot more decks coming up. But at 8 mana, there are better ranked cards out there. He's just a "fun" but tournament viable card.

Yeah, I've been that way about Hobgoblin since I first saw it, and I got two just randomly from the sixty packs I bought on day one. I've tried it in zoo but I have more fun running it in warrior. Only in casual though, I doubt it would be great for ranking.

The other day I was streaming Freeze Mage. I literally only needed Frostbolt to win, and it was literally the very last card in my deck and I died before I drew it. On my final turn I even drew 2 additional cards and missed it, so by that point I was 75% to win and missed. I only needed the Frostbolt for like 6 turns too.

Edit: Also that barber is unplayable in Rogue imo. If you're trying to make a mech deck I would pass on that asshole. He's just way too awkward to play effectively.

My story wins bros.

Playing a "fun" warrior deck awhile back with Iron Jug and brewmasters. All of my combo cards sat in the last four cards of my deck. Priest thoughtsteals all my combo cards and uses them against me for the kill.

I just won two arena matches in a row where my opponent would have had clear lethal next turn, have a fireball in hand and top decked a second fireball for the win.

Sometimes you eat the RNG, sometimes the RNG eats you.

I'd rather play hunters all day long than play against a priest.
I hate the current Hunter Aggro meta but I always play out a Hunter match because, one way or the other, it's going to be a fast game.

With Priests, unless I know my deck is viable against them, I concede instantly. 30 minute, fatigue, matches are not fun for me. Priest is just my natural achilles heel though since I prefer control decks myself. And the only control deck that, consistently, wins against Priest is Handlock.

Today's been interesting so far.
Playing Handlock for first 5 games, first 2 were quick losses to 2x Skill Commands at turn 6.
3rd game was a loss to a Handlock mirror where I drew none of my threats.
4th was aDrawto Hunter only because he played Dr. Boom on the turn I have lethal. I'm 8 Health, he's 9 and he has Dr Boom on board and I have only 2 boom bots and a 1/2 sludge. I hit his face for 3 from board, Dark Bomb, then Hellfire. He's at 0. I'm at 5 and watching as his first bomb hits for 1, and his 2nd bomb hits for 4. So awesome after starting 0-3 and he hits the top end of the scale lol.
Won next game against control warrior though.

I took a long break from Handlock but getting back into it. It use to be my favorite deck. Every match is a puzzle. It's fun to teeter on the edge and come out with wins.

I laughed when I saw you drafted that but I figured you must know what you are doing.

I was trying to do mage/shaman dominance last night. Lost 4 games with mech mage, 2 games with freeze mage, and then 3 games with fatigue mage. Switched to shaman and got my 5 wins in 6 matches.

So here are my results playing mech mage over the past few days. I'm perfect against shamans and acceptable against everything except Pallies. There must be a couple games missing as well, I know I've seen them more than 4 times lately. Any ideas on what I can tweak to at least get better than 0% against Pallies? It seems like it's ALWAYS a turn 3 Muster followed up by a turn 4 Consecration which stops any good Mechwarper start in it's tracks. Maybe replace the mana wyrms with echoing oozes to act as dudeslayers for those Musters?

I've had 7 and 6 win runs all weekend (3 of each) with decks I thought were worse than this. Yeah, this was a 2 win deck. I ran into some really bad matchups (2 priests that rekt me and a mage that barely hung on thanks to ice block). Oh well, pulled a Dr. Boom from the pack.

Finally managed a 12 win arena after all this time - so many 11's that would crap out but finally busted out the 12. (Didn't SS but had quad consecrate and other goodies, no swords though)
