One of my most horrible stretch of losses, I went from rank 12 to 18. A series of bad draw and mistakes on my part or great draw and plays on my opponent...and fucking bad luck.
This has been my worst season since i started playing in Feb/March. By far. I was up ay rank 7 and dropped to 15. This meta is terrible. Either you play to beat Patron and be weak to everything else or you play to everything else and lose to Patron. I was playing Mid range Paladin because I like it, am good with it, and it is tricked out. I ended up at an 8.5% win rate one day (30+ games). Running both a trap Hunter and a fast Druid now working my way back up finally. Fuck this meta though Jesus it sucks.

When I looked through my account history, I spent more than i thought I did on the game. But most of my purchases were made back in Beta when card packs were worth a lot more. It was a great time to buy packs back when Blizzard was constantly nerfing cards. At one point I had like 15 Blood Imps because everyone knew it was going to get nerfed. Sure enough it was and I disenchanted all those extras for full cost. That's just one example.

Since then, I've spent real money on both Adventure Modes. I don't regret Blackrock Mountain but you don't need it to be competitive today. There's a handful of good cards and it did introduce a couple of meta warping decks into the mix. But compared to Naxx it was a much weaker Adventure Mode. I also spent some money on GvG when it was new. But other than that I haven't felt the need to spend money on the game. In fact I'm in gold savings mode right now. While I might be missing some cards, I'm not missing anything vital. I'm up to 2,500 Gold so that translates into 25 new packs if a new expansion was dropped today.

At any rate, you're not a hero for sticking with a completely F2P model. If you can't afford to buy some packs or adventure modes I get that and completely understand. But I have no problem throwing Blizzard some cash since I get enjoyment out of the game.

So far, $40 in classic, $40 in GvG, both of the adventure packs were bought with gold, and I'm just missing Ysera , Vol'jin, and Al'Alkir for competitive legendaries.

Then again I've done every single daily quest since beta, so there is that. Also back in the first couple of seasons there were a bunch of more competitive cheap decks that don't really preform as well anymore. Tempo Rogue, Cheap Shaman, Basic Mage/Priest.

Edit: Also the only nerf Patron really could use is for them to revert Warsong Commander back to how it only applied to creatured played from the hand instead of any creature summoned. Even with that change it would still be a pretty good deck as a board full of patrons is still hard to deal with and it can still combo you out with the Frothing Bezerker.

That 3rd game for Dog and Nelrea with Lorewalker Cho coming out of the Shredder between Patron Warrior and Oil Rogue was fun to watch
Missed this live but found it on youtube:

3rd game starts at the 20:00 mark or so. Crazy game

I was climbing just fine with midrange druid a couple days ago since Druid is one of my 2 classes that isn't 60 yet.

I've had 3 levels on Priest and 5 on Rogue for like 5 months and just can't be bothered to finish getting either to 60.

I'll try to make a more mid-rangey list. I was trying a more heavy top end with rag and ancients of war and it just wasn't working at all lol. Win 2 lose 2 all day

I find Druid to be one of the more annoying classes to play but it isn't all garbage. I tend to find (some) success with a stop-and-go combo deck.

Survive early pressure, get some draw, rely on combo and hope Emp shows up in a timely manner. Most of what I use is actually based on counters for whatever is popular in terms of lasting to the combo phase and honestly, I can't help but feeling that it's just easier to do so with other classes/decks.

Well my awful weekend continued, after going from 12 to 18, it went on till 20 where I got stuck. Never had such an horrible streak of bad luck ever...

Which would have been fine if that bad luck had stayed in game...but my fucking 80 years old neighbour...a woman of course smashed into my new SUV with her old 10 years old car while parking. Of course her car has almost no damage, I on the other hand need a new front bumper, and will need some body work and paint job done of my front wing.

Oh well, guess I have my health and a good job so that should count for something. She better not walk in my blind spot though cuz I won't see her.

12 to 20 seems extreme

Had a interesting fight just now freeze vs tempo mage. He's got a full board including a waker. I do standard doomsayer nova combo. To my surprise he plays his other waker. Then frostbolts the sayer, doesn't kill it with waker procs, then pings his own clockwork gnome, and then plays its spare part to proc waker twice. Probably wouldn't have thought of that ever.

Doesn't kill my sayer anyways and I win. T.T

I feel you. It seems like some days lately I've only played either hunter or handlock. Talk about extremes from both sides. Slowly crawled to 12 again after falling to 14. Trying to move up with somewhat fun decks instead of grinders at least until 10. Don'y know if I will have the endurance.

It's crazy how Blizzard has managed to create a game where people feel fine spending hundreds, as some of you have. I guess that just shows how good of a job they did at making it addictive. I have only spent $40 to learn Arena and I have every important card in the game and like 8000 dust to spare. Arena pays off man. I have 2100 Arena wins and 1100 Normal wins. And yet even though I've actively tried to get every class to level 60 (in so much as I will pick a class I don't have at level 60 in Arena if I can, at least most of the times) and still the only level 60's I have are: Mage, Druid, Rogue, Paladin. Shaman is the closest after that at 52, and Hunter/Priest the lowest at 41.

It's like every F2P model. You can play a shit ton , and barely spend a dime, or be casual and spend money.

Not something Blizzard came up with, that is just the market.

F2P survives because the casuals grossly outnumber the hard core.

What happens if you drop Kezan Mystic while you already have the same trap active as the one you would steal from your opponent?

EDIT: I knew I should have just googled, but I love talking to you dickheads so much! It gets destroyed, which I assumed.
