Totem Golem might finally be the Shaman 2 drop that it so desperately needs. Salty about overload though.

Missed the beginning of that game. How did he end up with 3 Totem Golems? Is this an Arena format? Ahhh, right, he counts as a Totem, so the Totemic guy summoned him, that's cool.

I don't see how mage doesn't use effigy, loose a x cost get a x cost to replace it?

It would be too strong without the overload. Now hopefully there's some card that takes advantage of overload, though I fear that's not in the cards as the shaman theme for the expansion seems to be totems.

Well obviously it would be too strong without the Overload lol. My point was, I would have preferred a viable Shaman 2 drop without Overload, not that I wanted a 3/4 for 2.

Fallen Hero is going to be absolutely retarded in arena.

x2 Fallen Hero + Coldara Drake + Maiden of the Lake = 30 damage in pings in a single turn haha. Obviously not viable, but crazy that it's even possible. Having all 3 of those creatures isn't that far out of the realm of possibility though, and even then, still pretty insane damage. You could even theoretically be pinging Fireballs for 1 mana over and over.


I have this feeling in my gut that this expansion will push Shaman even further into the gutter. Tinkering with hero powers and adding hero power interactions is great... for everyone but Shaman. Just more RNG for the most RNG class in the game. Tuskar Totemic is one already, it is pretty shit if you get one of the basic totems, and op if you get the Totem Golem. Just more frustration for poor Shamans.

Because tempo mage would still rather have mirror entity, freeze mage doesn't care, echo mage can't give up the duplicates or the ice blocks, and none of those decks really have the room to just cram more secrets in. You could maybe take the tempo mage lists that run a single counterspell and swap it out for effigy and test that out.

Obviously new decks will arise when you toss 130 new cards into the pool, but effigy doesn't fit into any of the existing stuff.

I'm thinking of the multiple hero power ability comboed with the 1 mana hero cost. A board filled with totems? Filled with silver hands? Handlock's dream? Machine gunning Mage and hunters? Priests healing everything? Warrior crying in the corner

That 1 mana hero power Fallen Hero card is a automatic Arena pick. It's quite insane. 2 mana 3/2.

Unless I'm thinking of a different card the Fallen Hero is mage only adds 1 damage to the hero power. The only card I've seen that reduces the cost is the 4 mana Maiden of the Lake. Don't get me wrong, still an awesome card!

Trump is so bad. That Healbot was such a topdeck, and he smiles and attacks into explosive trap to die... Wow Trump, wow.

Lol Ball of Spiders. Hunter spell. 6 Mana, summon 3 Webspinners. Not sure what I think about that... Pretty awful at 6 mana.

So far things look pretty solid. Just like the previous additional cards I'm sure that they're holding the really good stuff back. But a lot of what was shown is promising. It's definitely going to shake the meta up.
