I don't know that I can stomach buying packs for money again after being spoiled by the stupid recursive amazon trick last time.

$50 for 50 packs is probably the best deal outside of Amazon coin tricks. I'll probably splurge and then dump all my gold on release. Should be around 120 to 130 packs which should get me most of the cards with dust to craft missing pieces.

They are going to get so much pushback on this. I'm damn sure not going to play a single game of arena ever again.

That's pretty extreme. Its an improvement in any event. I agree it should have been a choice from the beginning. If I never see another GvG pack it will be too soon. But its still better than my expectation that they would just switch it to only the newest pack each expansion. Who knows, maybe you're right about the pushback and they will have to relent.

How the hell is random better than arena always giving you the newest pack? I would always rather have the newest packs rather than be stuck chancing it on whatever. I'm pretty sure that despite the disparity in size sets, I still need more epics/legendaries from GvG than I do from classic, and the same will be true about the tournament.

Also, I heard the dude say 130 cards in the new set, so I wonder if that number means collectible or not. GvG only has 123 collectible cards, but it's technically a 143 card set according to the hearthpedia. So I wonder how many collectible cards there are in this new set.

Well at this point I want nothing from GvG that I don't have already. Of course most people crafted Boom. The problem is that GvG's epics and legendaries were mostly dogshit, so you probably don't actually "need' any of them or you'd have crafted them. I'm missing some legends from classic that I'd much rather have than something like fucking Gazlowe. I just found that I had GvG cards very quickly, but then again I bought a good amount of packs, more than I probably bought with classic. Opening the fifty pre-order packs will probably net me a big head start on this too, plus saved gold and dust to craft whatever ends up being must-haves.

I don't even have any idea what language that is, but I am pretty sure it says "Your hero power becomes : Add 1 attack and 1 durability to this weapon" or at least at the bare minimum, one attack, I'm fuzzy on the last word. It could also be "or" instead of "and", but hopefully not. At first I thought it was overpowered, but not really with the 4 mana cost and constant maintenance. Rogue definitely needs something like that to make Inspire work for them.

Edit: Nope, just 1 attack. Shame, but still good to give Rogue's a viable option for Inspire.

143 because of summoned shit you mean?
7 Spare Parts, Boom Bots, Chicken from Experimenter, Voltron, two versions of robo cub, transformed druid of the fang, two results from grove tender, two results from dark wispers, gallywix's coin, Imp, burrowing mine.

I mean you'd think the stuff from grove tender and dark wispers wouldnt count, but it is a separate card with unique text for each of the separate choices.

Portuguese.

'Your hero power grants this weapon +1 attack instead of replacing it' It's nowhere near as good as you thought it was. In fact, it's pretty much trash.

Obviously it's nowhere near as good as "I thought ittranslatedto". Derp.

However, I wouldn't say it's trash just yet. Oil Rogues sometimes take their time with weapons, and there could be a lot of synergy that would also work like the Coldarra Drake/Maiden of the Lake so that you can build it up more quickly. There's no definite need to equip the weapon, pump it up, and then attack with it right away. Meaning you could control the board, stall, draw, etc. as Rogues tend to do while conceivably building it up to like 6+ attack before ever using a single durability, and then blasting away with it and Blade Flurry etc for a lethal bomb. It allows you to spread your mana out over many turns and strategize on another level. Of course there is always a risk of it being destroyed, but maybe we'll see something to change that as well.

When's the last time you played rogue on the ladder?

Also, Coldarra Drake is a mage class card.

Upgrade should have been a rogue card. Also, there seems to be more pirate tribal theme minions included in this expansion so who knows maybe Greenskin will see some play too. Still seems like a lot of mana to get this weapon working for you. Overall its like a slow ass worse assassin's blade that takes forever to get anywhere. You will need that four mana in oil decks, I can't see how you could afford to fuck with this thing. Who knows until the whole set is live of course though.

Some people are mighty dumb in this brawl, lol.

It's like... OK... I see your knife juggler and raise you Nefarion... and go...

Or... OK control warrior... vs. 30 damage on the table... OK...
