If you can combo it out with a zero cost spell (best case is turn 4 coin + Cavalry) it's not bad. I like how Blizzard maxxed it out at 6 attack since they realize that everyone is running BGH these days. In fact I don't think we've seen too many BGH targets in TGT yet. Of course we haven't seen much worth playing either but that's another story...

It's not a bad card. But I'm not sure it fits the current Rogue playstyle. Tempo Rogue was a big thing back in classic so they might be trying to bring back that playstyle instead of relying on the only viable Rogue decks being combo ones (Miracle and Oil).

I'd rather have an ogre and not have to worry about the potential for it to whiff as a 3/7 for 1 mana cheaper.

Love the art though.

That's actually a pretty good point.

Another thought is that the 5 drop spot is already crowded with great cards (Belcher and Drakes which are neutrals) so if you're going to add another 5 drop to the game it also needs to be great just to be competitive.

It's obviously meant to be a tempo card though. Turn 4 with coin, or turn 5 with Backstab or something. Don't know if it'll make Tempo Rogue viable again, but I loved that archetype.

That charge minion a few pages back could also potentially replace Haha! or maybe something else in oil rogue, you're paying 2 extra mana for a divine shield, could be worth.

I could see it for more tempo plays, but at 3 mana, it's too expensive for oil rogue, imo.

At 4 mana though, 2/1 divine shield, charge, + 4 attack Cold Blood could be a pretty nice aggro play

Playing a midrange hunter in an aggro hunter world is fun. Everyone misplays and burns removals on early junk.

Lols for all

Still ruslted that card will be getting play from shredders and not in a good way. Low chance it happens but when it does it will suck

Shredder is too good as is anyway, so an indirect, miniscule nerf is fine. Of course, it being random you'll get it at the worst possible time, every time.

Also, beating a freeze mage with a frostbolt + ice lance to the face is pretty satisfying, playing rogue.

Finally an exciting card. Both the Warlock and Druid minions are cool. And yeah haha wow at getting the Darnassus Aspirant as a Shredder deathrattle. But, it's not like it makes the Shredder any less godly, particularly when counterbalanced with shit like a new 4/3 and others.

Darnassus Aspirant isn't a great replacement of Wild Growth though, since it will be dead before you can fully utilise the ramp the way ramp druids tend to use it. But it is still super cool. I am interested to see how it plays out in affecting Druids.

I'd much rather get that from my own shredder than a Doomsayer or Explosive Sheep or Unstable Ghoul even. From the opposing shredder it all sort of depends.

Well, no it might not help ramp if they remove it. But if they remove it they likely had to expend removal to do so, or possibly trade which could still work out well for the druid. If they don't remove it then you have a chance to benefit from the mana, attack with it, and even if you then use it to trade and its dead you have gotten value out of it anyway. If it lives longer than that the value just keeps going up.

It should also still generate a card draw at ten mana but with the benefit of leaving a body on the board too.
