You are almost guaranteed to win all the jousts since hunter has soo many high mana cards
Second Brawl I got Hunter again - somehow my opponent managed to show Frost Giant 4 out of 4 jousts... what the hell odds are those?

Maybe you could try to defend your deck concept instead of crying when someone criticizes it?

I believe I told Fawe his Lock and Load/Ram Wrangler idea was bad, and instead of throwing a temper tantrum, he came back with a decklist that I agreed was worth playtesting. Although after actually playing with it, I'm pretty sure lock and load is garbage. If it was hunter spells only, it might be good because there are some good removal spells in hunter that you wouldn't maindeck but absolutely wouldn't mind getting for free in the middle of a match. Getting a metaltooth leaper out of lock and load isn't exactly thrilling.
Defend what? A combo I see from cards? No need to defend it, it's pretty good holding up on its own. You don't think it's worth making a deck around it with the stall tactics afforded to frost mage. I do. We'll find out on the 24th.

I had two in one of my games. I was pleased to confirm that the cost is based on overall HP uses, not just while it is in hand and dropped both the turn I drew it (for two mana each).

Man, Blizzard really is greedy. Hearthstone is raking in 20m a month and they nerf arena pack rewards (forcing players to buy more packs with real life cash) and they nerf quest rewards by adding in these other quests which effectively reduce your gold intake by up to 70 packs per year. Fuckin' hell. I mean, really? But people are lazy, so they won't complain enough to get either of these things changed.

How are either of those things a nerf exactly?

Huh? Do you really need it explained to you?

1) New 50g quests = less chance of getting a 60g reroll. The maths is there and it equals out toup to72 packs lost per year.

2) Arena pack rewards being random = less chance of getting anything worthwhile. If you have everything from classic and gvg, you have a 2/3rds chance of rolling a 40 dust pack, rather than a pack with a dust value much higher by the mere fact that they are cards you need and thus don't have to spend dust to craft.

It's really pretty basic shit Famm.

Edit: In case you are still don't understand. In the past, you had a 50% chance to reroll a 60 gold quest, meaning that if you did it right (e.g. avoided completing 40g quests) you could almost guarantee you were always completing 60g quests. Now, you have a chance of getting a 50g quest. So instead of 20 quests, there are now 30, which lowers your chance to get a 60g reroll by 33%. Even losing 10gold a day from getting these dumb 50g quests, which are also harder to complete, mind you, = 365x10= 3650 gold. That's 36 packs right there. And if you lose 20gold per day from trying to reroll 50g quests and getting 40g, you double that to 72 packs lost per year. Obviously these are the high numbers and on average you'll lose less packs, but the math doesn't lie. Statistically, you'll be getting a minimum of 12 less packs per year. No matter what, everyone will be getting less gold and thus less packs per year with the introduction of these new 50g quests. Combine that with the random arena pack reward nerf making it harder to get what you need, and you have 2 pretty big stealth nerfs.

Yes, do explain. There is no way it can be anywhere close to 72 packs a year. 72 packs per year equates to roughly 20 gold per day. That's pretty much the maximum average benefit you could expect from the current re-rolls if you wonevery single one every single day. By all means though, present some bullshit math.

This hand is what I was looking for and it played out pretty much as I expected, but the cards it generated were mostly substandard trash. I got my ass kicked.

I keep getting the Hunter deck - and at around 7-2 at this point - I really think it's pretty well balanced, just there's a higher learning curve to how the hunter plays.

I already did, you idiot, read above. I saidup to72 packs.

No, it's just a shitty deck and you've gotten lucky.
Indeed. I am 5-4 with Hunter and have been extremely lucky. With Mage I am 9-2. It's not as bad as Rag/Nef, but it's damn near close.

It really doesn't feel like it, the tricks to it abound - but they're not as direct as "use your hero ability"

Many of those wins have been at 20+ life, a few at turn 6-7.

Keep playing. Get to 40ish wins and I 100% guarantee you, you're win/loss rate will start to drop and you'll start to gain more and more losses than wins on Hunter. Don't be stupid, it's pretty obvious the Hunter deck sucks. You're just using a statistical anomaly/luck to make yourself believe the Hunter deck is good, but it simply isn't. Play enough games, and you'll start to get it.

On the other side of the stat anamoly I'm 0-3 with the few times I've gotten Mage with complete blowouts.
