I Goldened an Emp as well - still have ~4000 dust left over.

I've played against every possible deck in MTG btw, I played a lot of MTG - and there is a difference in hearthstone between people purposefully roping you each turn and actually playing a slower deck.
How fun is it to have the stars align and you kill your opponent on turn 3/4? I mean it is part of the game, but why give tools to that playstyle to enhance it? The drawback to huge burn/face is you run out of steam and you're dead. Well shoot lets make a cantrip card to make that horrible option of losing become less of an issue.
Hey, I wasn't commenting on the impact of Quick Shot on the meta. I was addressing your aggro whining. Mostly, because I am sick of hearing it. I was merely explaining why people favour aggro decks when doing dailies. You see the same whining on MTG forums because 'control' isn't really a thing any more. Wizards remembers all too well the days of Draw-Go and no one wants to go back to that shit.
If you want heavy board interaction in Hearthstone then play Arena.

The shift to heavy aggro is why I don't really play anymore. I see the upside to an aggro deck, you want to climb the ladder, so fast games means a fast climb. Others though, like myself, just like to log in and play some fun decks and aren't trying to end the game at lightning speed. When 4 of 5 games were things like turn 1 undertaker into coined leper gnome, it got dull.

The problem isn't so much the meta as it is the nature of the the way ranking up on the ladder works.

I don't think it's overrated. But right now it's a matter of finding out what is best to take out for Quickshot. Consensus is Wolf Riders because 99% of the time they are only going to get that initial charge in. The advantage of Wolf Rider is that they can be buffed by Abusive Sergeants. The disadvantage is that a taunt stops them cold.

Haunted Creepers are another option. The problem with removing them are it reduces your Kill Command activators by 2. And Face Hunter doesn't run a lot of beasts really so the few it has are really needed.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks Quick Shot is overrated. Most of his reasoning is pretty much the same as mine too.

Quick Thoughts on Quick Shot - BMK Gaming
I've really been enjoying his blog. Started reading it when everyone was linking the BGH entry, then went back and read older stuff too.

The comments are spot on though, for that list just ditch tracking. Still, I agree that its too frequently not going to get the card draw value.

Angel, he makes the point that the body from the wolfrider creates a tempo problem for the opponent to remove, which is true. The meta just isn't that taunt heavy anyway. FH has two Owls and ideally only needs them for a belcher drop. If you see a second belcher or any later game taunts your ass is likely dead anyway.

It doesn't matter if Wolf Riders only get 1 hit in, because it requires resources to remove, which ideally keeps your opponent on the offensive.

If it was just 3 damage then you would be right, but the fact that it mills in more damage, and is another card hunters can use to go through a taunt puts it at exceptional. It's a card you want towards the end not at the start.

Also sometimes leaving minions on the field late game can be bad. Why should I give you the chance to heal yourself, armor yourself, draw more cards, have more hounds etc

A true face hunter is 100% about hitting your face there is absolutely no control. Every card needs to do damage, or produce damage to the Hero.It is a race, and face will almost always win if we draw our curve correctly.

I see these pussy versions of face hunter that play pseudo control, and I just shake my head and say why

I pulled the worgens for quick shots and it has been working pretty well, I waffled on pulling the wolf riders or not but as has been said it usually takes resources to remove. May need to try taking those out instead if it seems to be failing.

I was in a tri-meta last night consisting of Warrior, Priest, and Hunter. I'm not sure if that's what it's going to be like until next week.

My experience was 70% hunter or mage aggro variations. The other 30% being combo druid, midrange warrior, control warrior. I saw a demon lock or two as well.

is foe reaper good in anything at all? Just opened him, and I love his card and the way he can finish games, but was thinking of crafting velen for the OTK shenanigans I saw last night, or perhaps for malgennis and some banes of doom, and I need the dust :/

I saw Sjow running him in control warrior. Dunno if he kept it in there, but it's probably good enough to keep around instead of dusting it. A case could be made that Foe Reaper is better than Rag in this meta.

He is surprisingly good in Priest. Also Resurrect can be ridiculous. I did turn 3 Injured, no heal, died, turn 4 double Resurrect. Two 4/7s on turn 4. There is some way of making a really strong tempo Priest in there, but I haven't figured it out yet.

Reynad ran foe reaper in Priest to some success, makes sense in that deck as you can likely keep it alive and it will do crazy work with heals with that cleave.
